I have only seen information regarding the Polar Porches....is there the option of just renting a chair? If so, what is the price and location? Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Have not seen this option. We just stake out one of the thousands of chairs that are available throughout the park. We usually rent a locker to put clothes and valuables in and I have a water wallet that I keep some cash or my room key in to buy food and beverages. There are all kinds of options both in and out of the sun for a chair all through the park.

To my knowledge, the vast majority of chairs, of which there are hundreds scattered throughout the park, are free. The only rental options are the polar porches. Other then those, it is a free for all on chairs and where you may plop down.

Anyone know what it costs to rent a Polar Porch or Beachcomber Shak (at Typhoon Lagoon)?

They are around 300. Less in the off season. TL has chairs that you can rent but I don't know that BB does. You can get two chairs a small table and an Umbrella for 40$.

Yes, there is premium chair space for rent at both BB and TL. You get 2 lounge chairs, umbrella, towels, and small table for $40. You can reserve in advance at 407-WDW-PLAY. They are located in a separate area close to QS at BB. There is an entrance to the lazy river from there. You get a wrist band to access the area.

I just called and made a reservation at Typhoon Lagoon. It's $53.25 and called a Getaway Glen. Max of four people. It includes two chairs, four towels and a table. You have to pre-pay for it at the time you reserve. There is a one day cancellation policy and if the waterparks are closed for any reason, they will also refund your money.

This is the first I've heard of the reserved spots. We will be there August 3-9...me 37 and my kids ds 12 and dd 11. We will have waterpark fun and more and park hopper tickets. At that time of year, do you think a reserved chair is required since we may just pop in to the water parks? How far in advance do they fill up? I like having a chair in a decent location in the sun, but with shade nearby if need be. I know my kids will, for the most part, be on the go, but will want a grounding spot even if they have to share and probably also shade when they want it.

Thanks

I wonder if the location justifies the cost? This will be my first time at BB so I am pretty clueless. I will be alone with DDs 7,10,11. Thanks for the help, everyone!

I thought it would be worth it for us because our only day to visit a waterpark has predicted higher crowds and I have heard that chairs can run out. My dh is also a fair haired red head and I know he would appreciate the ability to have one set spot to go back and chill out in....well "chill" as much as one can in FL in August. :-)

I guess it justifies if you're in a big party of 4+. Not so much if your party is only 2?

I think I would spring for the chairs as the towels are included too. Anyone know if they are big beach towels? Otherwise, what do you do? Bring bath size ones from your hotel room? We are flying so certainly won't be packing any!

Thinking about doing the Cabana - is there a locker provided in case we wish to lock items? We are going Memorial Day Weekend so I am wondering if the parks (both TL and BB) will be busy enough to maybe warrant one of these.

You can rent towels at each water park. We always do as we fly in and don't bring towels!
