I have to pick up a friends at MCO and their plane arrives at 12:15 AM. I just read on MCO's site that the cell phone lot closes at 10:00 PM. What do I do?

You park in the parking garage and wait until they're ready to be picked up and then you pay the parking attendant and go around and pick them up. Or you could go inside the terminal and greet them. We're not talking big bucks here. If you have E-PASS/SunPass, you can enter and leave via the transponder lanes.

I don't want to get into the middle of a discussion about how much it costs to park at MCO. I have read that others have parked north of the airport for a short time at commercial places such as hotels or restaurants. Then, when the passengers arrive on the ground, they communicate that they are ready to be picked up at the arrivals area outside the terminal. Would that work for you?

Just an FYI in case you do need to go in to pick your friend up. The garage parking is free for the first 20 minutes and then is $2 for 21-40 minutes, with each additional 20 minutes being $1 more.
I have used this method to pick up or drop off at other airports. Since I normally am in/out quickly I would not have to pay.
