Celebrity Apprentice 4 ~ No ADVANCED Spoilers ~

I'm confused. Right before Trump announced the winner I thought he said that he was going to do something different. Then he announced the winner and the show was over. Did I miss something?

He didn't say "you're hired".

I htought he was going to have award the million to both charities..but I head him say "do something different", and then :confused3

John deserved it. He was 100% right that his body of work was stronger. He also had a better project manager record than Marlee. Marlee was too defensive about the 275k that JR raised for the 7up event. She came across a little whiny. Also she was losing composure a little bit at the end when she was continuously pounding her chest while signing.. I understand that is used to stress something but I felt she was doing it a little too much. Meanwhile JR kept his composure throughout.

I was confused too. Maybe it was that he didn't "fire" Marlee? Officially?

Make that three! I thought maybe he was going to donate the same amount to the loser, even if the other one was the CA winner.

But,in the end, I think he meant he was going to say, "The winner is," Rather than, "You're hired."

It is so hard to compare charities but St Judes makes a life or death difference in the children that it treats. It is so heart breaking to see all of those little ones suffering with a devastating disease like cancer. St Judes treats everyone regardless of the amount they can pay.

But, then we'd have to rule out all charities that aren't life & death. Marlee's charity is a quality of life issue in which we don't know the long term effects. One of those children she helped, because he has learned strangers care, and his life has been so expanded beyond belief as to what is possible, could grow up to be the next Nelson Mandela and be president of Africa. He would be affecting thousands of lives then, not just one.

It's kind of comparing apples to oranges.

I liked John Riches commerical better ....I had no idea who the guy at the end of Marlee's was but I do remember Twisted Sister.

I like the guys can better too. Marlee said there wasn't enough on the cans but , if there was more on it it would have been too busy looking like theirs.

Glad John won he did a better job over all and was never closse to being fired. I think Marlee should have been fired for one task but can't remember now.

I noticed a lot of Canada flag tattoos and wrist bands when Marlee was doing her piece. Being a Canadian that was great too see....but can't say I know her charity until she came on.

I agree. If it was all about which charity, then they could've skipped the whole challenge and gone straight to John Rich with the win.

The UnCola guy? I grew up seeing him! I was so excited to see him again! (I had a niece that looked like him when she was a baby. ) Now, Twisted Sister? I remember the name from some point in my life...didn't look familiar to me tho.

I thought it was rather anti-climatic. Didn't get a real feel as to why he chose John. The 7-Up people liked them both, I liked John's can better, Marlee's comercial because I had never heard of Twisted Sister.

I do think John blew the event, no excuse for someone who is a performer to get the time wrong. His team seemed to let him down.

I do think John had a better overall season, I thought Marlee should have been fired for losing the On Star task.

I could not believe that NeNe kept talking over Star, surprised that Trump didn't tell her to shut up. I was also surprised that most of the Celebrities picked John to win, maybe they saw a different side of Marlee.

Blew the event? Because of a 20 minute hiccup? C'mon give me a break. Sure it wasn't his finest moment but I hardly thought that constituted "blowing" the event. And as far as not greating Trump or the 7up people, who cares. They need to get over themselves seriously. Sorry JR was busy with Def Leopard and didn't have time to politic.

I thought JR's song for Trump was great and the crowd liked his 20 minute entertainment before the main event.. thought he nailed it.

Marlee's event seemed incredibly boring.

I am glad John won - I didn't love him, but he was certainly better than Marlee all season. I thought she just kind of skated through and was never that great.

John recovered nicely from the timing issue by entertaining the audience and flattering Trump's ego with the song, lol.

I didn't really see Marlee do anything? And to keep mentioning "she" rasied a million dollars, please, that million dollars was everyone's money combined, most notably LaToya selling Michael's shirt.

Anyway, I am already looking forward to the next Celebrity Apprentice, I hope he gathers together a gang as interesting as this one was, lol. :thumbsup2

This was the best season of CA!!

I can't believe Star used the race card at the finale....

I thought JR definitely should have won. He was strong and solid the entire season! The 20 minute delay really showed how JR handles pressure/snags in the road...totally didn't buckle under pressure. In the real world things do go wrong & he showed how he would handle it! I thought his can & commercial were alot better than Marlees! I liked Marlee but I didn't think she did as good of a job over the whole season.

I couldn't tell because they showed it so quick but was JR's ad meant to be a boombox? I ask because I thought Meat Loaf chuckled when he saw it but it happened so quickly I wasn't sure....

awww snap.. its Neenee time! :surfweb:

Wasn't feeling Jon Rich's commercial...

PUMP THE BREAKS... did she just say "I don't hold grudges?" LMAO!

LOL, I thought the same thing. I watch RH of ATL -- I've watched her on this show -- she's a huge grudge holder! How pathetic is that that she doesn't even realize that about herself?

I actually thought Marlee's commercial was terrible. The original 7Up guy was a good call, but the other stuff (Richard Hatch in an afro?) was beyond amateur and cheesy.

I was surprised that the 7-Up execs. didn't make a bigger deal about the fact that they used him.

And where is Dionne Warwick???

I know, seriously -- where the heck was she? Such a diva.

Welcome back!

It was great leaning about Marlee's charity. those kids just stole my heart, when they could hear. :thumbsup2

I once read, St. Jude's was actually started by Danny Thomas, the actor.

The one part where the little girl said "mama", I started getting choked up, but the mom of the little girl didn't seem that touched or emotional about it.:confused3 Yes, re: Danny Thomas and St. Jude's.

I had a feeling Trump was going to pick John. Mark was right in that John was stronger throughout the season, was Project manager 3 times, even though Marlee made more money and did well in the last task.

I'm happy for John, but sad for Marlee. St Jude's gets much more press and attention than Marlee's charity because of Marlo & other celebs. Her charity could have used the extra boost of the CA win & the money. :(

Well you know that Trump's son Eric is a huge supporter of St. Jude's (Trump had words against Jerry Seinfeld recently -- Seinfeld was going to perform stand-up at Eric Trump's event, but then didn't do it because he hated how divisive Trump was being at that time re: Obama's birth certificate, so he gave a nice monetary donation, but bowed out of making an appearance), so it wouldn't surprise me if Trump picked that charity to win (vs. the actual contestant) because of Eric's ties w/ it.

I really thought Marlee was going to win. I do think JR played a better game during the course of the season and was usually instrumental in Backbone's wins (when others were the project manager), but I thought Marlee had a slight edge over JR in the final challenge. As someone else already stated above, Trump never did give his reasoning as to why he chose JR over Marlee. His decision seemed kind of arbitrary. Oh well, either one was deserving.

David Cassidy is hilarious!! Good for him, although cold slab came across like Richard is dead not in the pokey :scared1:
He seemed like a bitter old man to me.

Marlee's commercial was fantastic! :woohoo: :dance3: :cool1: :cheer2: Showing Geoffrey at the end was sheer genius when it was edited together! :woohoo:
I love the UnCola guy!

NeNe is classless as they come. :sad2:
She's good entertainment and she had Star pegged but no one would believe her before it was too late.

I actually thought Marlee's commercial was terrible. The original 7Up guy was a good call, but the other stuff (Richard Hatch in an afro?) was beyond amateur and cheesy.
It would have been better for Marlee to wear the afro wig and Richard Hatch do the trucker scene.

She's GHETTO, and fabo ghetto!! :lmao: Star is the one with NO class. She comes across like she's special and professional but she's a lying phony.

From a PROFESSIONAL Black woman.:mad::mad:
I've known a number of professional black women and they are nothing like Star. I also can't believe that she threw out the race card. She must have been getting desperate.

Did Star just snub Marlee? LOL...

Why didn't Star hug Marlee? What was that about?
I imagine it was because she did not pick her when they were choosing helpers.

If Jon Rich wins, I think it will be because he walked in with hundreds of thousands of dollars extra that was not a requirement for the final task, where are these people coming from with all that money???
I agree with Mark that John had a better season but Marlee won THIS challenge.
I do think John blew the event, no excuse for someone who is a performer to get the time wrong. His team seemed to let him down.

Marlee should have won from the task perspective but I think that Trump had chosen his winner weeks ago. He put Marlee and JR up against each other because they were the biggest fundraisers. JR has had a better season than Marlee. He's also a better project manager than her. We never saw the guys complaining about JR that he didn't know how to delegate but we sure saw the complaints about Marlee.

It was almost like Star tried to sabotage JR's task. She knew that the times were off and didn't say a word. Little John even asked her and she kept mum.

I was also surprised to see LaToya vote for JR but then again she probably felt betrayed by Marlee.

I think I'm the only person who had no problem with Star Jones and didn't see any negative side to her at all. She was there to play a game, not have phony alliances. She went in there like Johnny Cochrane to do her business.

I could not believe that NeNe kept talking over Star, surprised that Trump didn't tell her to shut up.

Trump knows that this is what people turn on the show to see. JR and Marlee are about as controversial as watching paint dry, he KNEW he had to have those two on to keep the drama going. He LOVES that.
