It really is a very cool feeling! Do you ever get sad as you approach a trip, knowing the planning is done and the trip will be over before you know it? I always have a great time, but there is that sadness that sometimes comes along with it for me. This time I won't have that sadness... we'll be going back 10 months later.

I just realized I never posted our potential itinerary changes…

Last weekend we talked to Jeff & Karen about the possible Prom conflict. They didn’t seem too concerned, so we left it that they could leave on Saturday instead of Sunday if either of the kids were going to the prom. While we were on the phone Karen told me that they are planning to drive to Orlando after work on Wednesday! That’s great news, but originally we had planned on them showing up “sometime” Thursday… and knowing them it wouldn’t be first thing in the morning. The biggest problem with Wednesday is that we are planning to be at MK, Chef Mickey’s & Wishes that night. There’s no way we are changing those plans! Fortunately, now that I called the resorts and discovered that they can all be official guests in our room, we will be able to leave them a key at the front desk. They can get settled in and we’ll see them when we get back to the room Wednesday night.

The other thing Karen mentioned is that they plan to hang out at the resort pool Thursday, go to Universal on Friday and play it by ear on Saturday. Hmmm… We had hoped that at least J & K would want to join us on our waterpark day, but that is Friday… So if they do, one of us will have to change our plans. Ideally they will go to Universal on Thursday, join us at the waterpark on Friday and play it by ear on Saturday. But if that doesn’t happen, we could potentially change our plans around.

Here is our original plan:

Thursday: Epcot, Le Cellier lunch (2:10), flexible evening plans (maybe hop to DHS?)
Friday: Waterpark (& Boma?)
Saturday: Visit favorites (& Boma?)

If we change things around:

Thursday: Waterpark (& Boma if I can get an ADR…)
Friday: Epcot (not the best day according to TGM), lunch at Le Cellier (believe it or not I got an 11:35 ADR last week)
Saturday: Visit favorites (& Boma?)

And who knows... we may not even make it to a waterpark! If J & K don't want to join us, the kids might prefer to hang out at the resort pool with them. We'll see...


By the way, you might have noticed that I made a big mistake this week… I organized by photobucket pictures! Now a bunch of my links aren’t working! I’m trying to go back and fix them…. Sorry to anyone who tried to look at these photos!

YAY for bonuses! Jeff's is going to Taylors car. UGH! I wish it was going to the tax bill. I love Tim's response, that's what's evolved at our house too and it's nice to see Jeff "getting" it.

Glad you called about the 9 people, it would have stressed me out too. Heavens knows it's kept us out of a lot of resort options!

Kathy - I love that you found a great park bag, but it just looks so big! Remind me... What did you carry in there?

We will probably rent a stroller again this year since Zach rode in it so much last year. But I'm guessing we won't bring a full change of clothes for each of the kids - maybe one pair of underwear & shorts that either of them could use. We'll have our car in the parking lot so in a worst case scenario we could go back to the car for clothes.

That's right... you have the extra stroller storage!

I actually didn't carry as much as I thought I would and my bag was very comfortable. I always have a "Murphy's Law" mentality when it comes to Billy having a change of clothes!

...Then once we choose our resort, I have to research which section to request. I’m not sure if we have the option of making requests at Marriott Cypress Harbour, but I know we can at the Sheratons.

So what do you think??

Wow, they all look fabulous... its hard to choose and I'm not even the one going!! I know you really liked the first one... the one you stayed at before..

Alex made a funny comment today… Tim was home early so we decided to take the kids out to dinner, a rarity for us… Once we decided to go out, we had to decide where to go. We asked the kids and Alex yelled, “Chef Mickey’s!” Then he says, very seriously, “No, that’s too far to go tonight.”

Love it! The things they come out with!

And the most exciting event of the week: Tim got his bonus this week… a nice big fat bonus!!..... So we’re going back to Disney is about 54 weeks!!

Woo-Hoo!! That's fantastic... I'm so happy for you Amy!!

Squeezing 9 people into an 8 person villa isn't quite as easy at Disney, is it?

Thank you!! The only problem with the Mickey whisk is that the handle is too big to fit in the utensil crock on my kitchen counter. But it makes me happy so I'll still use it. It might just have to find a special place to live.

It's going to be really hard for me when we finally have to give up the stroller... I know what you mean about Murphy's Law though... I'm not sure if we used any of the spare clothes we carried with us last year.

We'll all have the answer to where we'll be staying in less than two weeks! I can't wait!!

I don't know if you've picked a bag yet, but check out Sherpani bags, I picked one up a couple of yrs ago and have used it for a lot of day trips, though I'm not sure what the style name is. I have seen other people comment on them, so I think most of them are comfy. Hooray for planning for next year!

Wow Amanda! I love those bags!! Now I just have to decide between the Clover, Pica, Switch & Zoom. I also checked out the Qube - sort of fanny packish, but a bit cooler. But I wouldn't want it hanging like it does on the model - it would have to be tighter on my waist to feel more secure. The picture makes it look like it would fall off.

Hi Amy. Getting caught up since I have the day off. First off congrats to Tim for taking the plunge. I supported a co-worker who takes the plunge every year.
As far as the choices of where to stay-they all look beautiful. I think I like the Marriott Cypress Harbour the best though. It looks so roomy & bright.
And great news on the bonus My DH also got one this year. They usually get one every year but did not expect it this year with the economy so we were a little surprised. Great news that you are going again within the year

Bags-I just looked at the Sherpani bags. I love the Clover (I may order it) but not sure if it is roomy enough but I do not need to carry a lot of things so it may be ok. I also like the Qube but I'm with you as far as it hanging on the model like that. The one review states that they really like it. I know I'm not much help with your decision Let us know what you decide.
