Celebrating at POFQ/AKL in September 2015! COMPLETE

Just got back from an amazing night at the MK! Went to BOG for dinner - loved the atmosphere there! Then we used our fp's to walk onto Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. It was down when we went into dinner but back up and running when we got done! As soon as we walked off the ride (which we LOVED!) - Wishes started and we were surrounded by fireworks!! It was awesome! Then we made our way up to the train station and watched Celebrations on the castle and then the MSEP.

Woke up with a sore throat this morning and then got a fever by early afternoon. Seems like a lot of people here are sick and the woman sitting next to me on the plane from Denver was coughing quite a bit. I'm guessing I got it from her. Oh well, I'm powering through (with the aid of cold medicine) and I'd say that tonight was the best night so far!

Tomorrow we'll go check out the Wilderness Lodge and go back to the Poly for a bit also. Then we have lunch at BOG before heading to EPCOT for the evening and dinner at Via Napoli!

I think you need to invest in some stretchy waist band shorts because it's too hot for pants!

I wore shorts all day until we headed over to the MK for dinner - and thank goodness I did because it was hot and HUMID today! I would have died in jeans!

I tried, but I just couldn't make it past lunch today. Headed back to the hotel and slept a bit. I'm going to stay here and my parents are going to EPCOT for dinner at Via Napoli and to watch Illuminations. I'll probably just grab something small to eat at the quick service place here and watch a movie on netflix. This cold has really just sapped the energy out of me unfortunately.

We did go to the Wilderness Lodge this morning and then to the Poly before heading into the MK to eat lunch at BOG. The mine train ride was down again but up and running after we came out from lunch. Only problem was the wait was at 70 minutes and it was hotter than blazes out. I made a beeline for the exit where I got on a bus with no ac to the AKL. Driver was in training so it was almost like being on a ride - lol.

No plans for tomorrow other than going back to Downtown Disney and having an early lunch at T-Rex before heading to the airport. I'm looking forward to seeing my dog again and to temps in the 80's with no humidity!

Yes, I'm home now! The flight back went by quickly but man, my sinuses were so bad from being sick and the flight made it even worse. I could barely hear anything by the time we landed. Got on the wrong bus to the parking lot once out of the airport. Finally made it home and went to bed. Woke up with a fever again but am feeling much better this evening finally! I will work on downloading the rest of my pics tomorrow (going to use a sick day to rest) and will try to post more here!

What did you think of the WL? I find the lobby breathtaking!

We love the WL and have stayed there a couple of times. They've updated the lobby furniture since our last trip and also added bright red trim on the buildings' windows! We really love the DVC portion of this resort - have you ever been in the lobby of that part? It's so nice! I'll post pics soon!

I never walked over to the DVC, I really wish I would've!

Still not feeling well at all here. Day 5 of being sick and I STILL have a sore throat - I think it might be tonsillitis which I seem to get every time I get a head cold. Grr...

Thanks, Angeejoe - it really is a bummer to be this sick. I do have a week of sick time built up but I'm going to try to work at least a half day tomorrow to check on things at work. I will be going to the Dr. after that if my tonsils look like they're getting worse. So frustrating... this has happened to me quite a few times to the point where it might make sense to have them removed.

Day 3 - EPCOT!

We all shared an order of beignets at POFQ for breakfast this morning and then took the bus over to EPCOT for the day. I had booked us fastpasses for Soarin' but since we had a bit of time we did a couple other rides beforehand.

First up was one I hadn't been on in years...



As we were waiting in line I kept hearing phones ringing nonstop - it was starting to annoy me and I was wondering why people weren't answering them... until I saw this sign on one of the "office" doors. Too funny!




After this we headed over to The Land - home of one of my very favorite rides and of Soarin' which is my mom's favorite ride!




Living with the Land was closing for refurbishment the very next day so I was very glad to get to ride it today! It's a highlight for me for obvious reasons.





There were even some "hidden" mickeys to be found on this ride - such as these two in one of the shrimp tanks.



Have I mentioned how much I LOVE this ride?

Next up we'd be heading over to Soarin' to use our fastpasses!

After enjoying our first two rides of the day, it was finally time to use our fastpasses at Soarin'! The standby wait was up to 65 minutes if I remember right, so it was nice to breeze by that in the fastpass line!






We can't wait to see what they do with this ride once it becomes Soarin' over the world instead of California! It's a little scary to think of what the wait times will be for it though!


Next up, we were heading over to World Showcase for our lunch ADR in...

I love The Land ride too, it's just so cool in the green house!
