I was talking to someone after Mass today, and I am not the only person who does this. (so I am not crazy)
The Church has changed quite a bit over the years. One big change, is no more bells during the Consecration of the Host. When I was a kid, the Priest would hold up the Host and say "Do this in memory of Me" and the Alter boy would ring the bells.
No more bells, but my brain hears the bells. It is so ingrained in there, I hear the words, and the 'ring-a-ling-a-ling". My friend says he does the same thing.
Some Churches may still ring the bells, but for those that don't, do you still hear them?

Yep, that's why I sit in the WAY back corner of the church. We do have a hard core priest. Unfortunately, I am in Baptist country big time and there are only two Catholic churches in town. The other one is about 20 minutes away and not all that different.
