Castaway Club Gifts - Through the Years

If I had a dream CC gift, it would include:

A large, sturdy backpack with mesh pockets for water bottles

A large, plastic water bottle that didn't sweat

A beach towel with all of the ship's names

And a key chain

(No snacks....unnecessary on a ship with unlimited food.)

Loved our current gifts. Tote is nice - wish it had some inside pockets, though. Great game playing set too! What a fun gift that is.

My sister uses our totes all the time. No problems with her Silver and our Gold tote. Both have been used lots since our May WBPC cruise!

The one from 2011 isn't mine, but I have it saved. I also have a picture of just the red bag that's mine. The blue backpack is mine. I also have a picture of our gift from our recent cruise(s) - gold bag (grommets/rope) white board & games tin. Do you want that?

The tote itself was a canvas bag but inside were those two (one red and one blue) mesh drawstring backpack bags. Could that be where the drawstring bag came from? I honestly can't remember another bag in 2006 but it is possible.

I'll take a pic of my black platinum rope bag and post it after dinner.

I have 2 of the red drawstring bags we got in 2009 and the zippered bag we got in 2010. We were on the Wonder.

Anyone know how often DCL changes the gifts? We just booked a Jan. 2015 cruise today (soooo excited!) and we have adjoining rooms. For the first time, I'm gold and most of my family is on their 5th (for our first 4 cruises, we added a child each time-LOL), so I wonder if we'll get the right gifts (gold in my room, silver in DH's) or if it will get mixed up. Can't wait!!!

There's no set time frame for how long they give the gifts before changing them. Recently it seems that they are coming out with something new/different about every year. Previously it was several years with no changes.

The gift (one per room) is based on the highest Castaway Club level within each room.

Basically, the gift is the same thing, regardless of silver/gold/platinum level. But the current gift includes a color coded bag corresponding to the highest level in each room.
