Castaway Cay Food Question

Please can some knowledgeable person tell us whether we have to pay for food on the island and also do we pay for boats etc.

they do not charge for food at Castaway Cay.....I thought it was great. BBQ, hamburgers, hotdogs, chicken, salads, tons of fresh fruit and drinks.

The boat rentals they do charge for. As well as snorkeling equipment and floats.

Be aware that soda and alcholic drinks do have a charge. they offer complimentary fruit punch and lemonade with lunch as well as soft serve ice cream and other desserts.

I understand that if you have lunch over at Serenity Bay (adults only) you can have lobster (at lest on the 7 night cruises)

things must have changed some, we had free sodas with our lunch at CC...

last summer, we had lobster patty sandwiches and at serenity bay, steak sandwiches (rib eye) which were really good. if you get the free AAA mugs or buy your own mugs, you can have free refills of soda on castaway cay.

We were just there a couple of weeks ago and there were no free cokes. Fruit punch and tea were offered.
They only have sandwiches (steak, salmon, hot dog and hamburgers) at Serinity Bay. We tried it this time but will go to Corkey's next time. They have ribs, corn on the cob and other goodies. Last year they had a lobster burger that was great.

Take cash for the post office if you want to mail a special card home from Castaway Cay.

At corkys when we went. DH tried one but didn't care for it.
Disappointing about the soft drinks.......oh well!

The drink issue must still be in flux. The last I read, drinks were free with the meal as it was on the boat. Only during non meal times and alcoholic drinks were charged for. Seems silly to have a different rule off the ship but on their own island.

Oh well. Glad I'm not a big soda drinker.

At Serentiy there are no drink dispensers. The only place to get a Coke would be the bar and I know they were not free. We forgot our mug so it cost me $.
They may have changed things at Corky's but I don't ever remember seeing Coke dispeners there either.

The drinks were filled and sitting on a table, and they filled them
as people took them.

Maybe they've done away with this completely.
