Cast Member Guest Pass Question (not asking for any!)

My friend is able to get us in because her friend is a Disneyland cast member. The CM says that they can get us in using paper tickets. I did not think that CM's used paper tickets to let in guests and am wondering now if this is legitimate offer. Does anyone know how CM's normally check in guests and if paper tickets are still used at all? Any helpful replies are greatly appreciated.

CMs get paper tickets a couple of times a year as a perk . They can give them away as they wish. Liz

Thanks for the replies. This cast member is a friend of a friend, and that's why I worry. They have not asked for anything in return outright, I have not talked to this CM as only my friend has, but it seems like they are implying they want my friend to reciprocate the favor ( yet another reason to worry). Hopefully we can go and not have a spoiled day. I will update the blog after.

I don't take "offer" to mean selling at all in this case. I offer to babysit my friends kids, I offer to bring a dish to a meal at a friend's house, etc. The CM is offering to let them use his tickets.

Update. We were able to get get into both parks with the tickets offered by the cast member. The paper/page printed ticket was exchanged for a a regular entrance ticket and we enjoyed our day at the parks. Thanks again for those who replied.
