I am far from an expert but I can't believe that would cause a mistrial. All it would do was take the death penalty off the table. Just because one judge in Miami declares it illegal doesn't mean everyone on trial gets to walk free. When the story of this judge broke in Miami last week, all the local commentators were saying it wouldn't result in a mistrial. Only repeating what I heard at that time.

Wouldn't you think any ruling on Florida's laws would take years of appeals anyway? Can't imagine all the trials would be on hold waiting for that. Try the case. Appeal the death penelty (if it's given).

I hope you are wrong but it is certainly possible. I just remember the commentators last week saying this happens in other states on a regular basis. They just alert the jury that they are not allowed to continue thinking about the DP and the trial goes on. I hope they were right.

I would think this would make it worse for Casey. A non-DP qualified jury will just convict her more easily.

My stomach is in a knot. I have a half hour before I have to leave for DS's Dr appt. If there's a long sidebar first thing, I'm going to scream. And we're not sure we figured out the iPhone. We were both up till 2:30! Ugh.

Both sides also reviewing some sort of report having to do with a forensic psychologist. Not sure if it is a report on someone or other info. They met with JPB first thing about this report.

This video is what I mentioned in my post last friday... way back on thread 3 somewhere. But jury was in the room when it happened and I rewound it about 5 times and looked like she said to Mason "get him" pointing to Baez, saw it from a really slightly different angle. If anyone has Fridays Tivo'ed, I think it was around 2:57pm.
