New to the thread but sort of keeping up with the trial.
I totaly think she's guilty of this. Keeping all personal feelings aside....
If you we're on the jury, do you think there is enough actual evidence to convict her of this. I know the prosecution is going for the death penalty right?
I personaly don't know if I could convict someone to death without having a smoking gun so to speak.
In my heart of hearts I know she did it but is there any hard core evidence or is it all circumstantial?

So far so good by the prosecution. They are showing that Caylee went missing, her mother lied and lied and lied about her whereabouts, the trunk of her car had human decomposition, the dogs hit on the car and her backyard...

There is a Sherlock Holmes quote: " Eliminate all other factors, and the one which remains must be the truth. ...."

I think I would be able to convict her on the current evidence presented. And they aren't done yet.

I think when the prosecution makes their closing statement and pulls everything in together, that will do it. I think there is more than enough evidence to find her guilty. I agree with a lot of these lawyers commenting that Baez was way too specific and tied himself into a defense that gives him no room to adjust during the trial. Unless he has some kind of ace up his sleeve to back up his arguments, I don't see the defense being effective at all.

As far as the death penalty, Im not so sure, but that will be taken care of during the penalty phase.

So many commentators saying Casey HAS TO testify to fill in the holes of the defense case. Who else can testify as to what happened that day except Casey? Certainly not George! And how does a jury react to the testimony of a woman who has proven time and time again that she lies about EVERYTHING to EVERYONE?

Maybe that should be the poll of this thread. NOW do you think she'll testify and if your opinion has changed?

One of the people being interviewed mentioned that the search for chloroform was only done once and the person was logged in for under 2 minutes. Has anyone else heard that? That doesn't seem very damning. Casey could have looked at the picture Ricardo posted, wondered what it meant and did a quick search to find out. If she was plotting to use chloroform to kill her daughter, you would think she would spend a little more time researching it. I don't know if the person that just noted this has her facts right.

I haven't heard that, but if it were true, two minutes wouldn't be enough to gain much knowledge. I do have to wonder whether they have their facts correct though.

Last night, I saw a snippet of Leonard Padilla on something, and he was talking about Ray Kronk. If what he was saying were true, I would think it would be all over the news. It made me wonder about his credibility too.

I can only think that if she testifies it will be because they think she's such a good liar she might be able to sway one of the jurors. She wouldn't have any luck with me, but some people just don't want to force themselves to look at this young woman and accept that she did what I'm convinced she did.

2 things -

I'm starting to think that Baez doesn't believe the story of Caylee getting into the pool herself and drowning. He just asked the computer expert about the timeframe between when some history was deleted and when "Caylee went missing." Per his opening statement, she wasn't missing. She was deceased on June 16. She can't be missing and deceased.

Other thing, as an attorney, you never never ever ask a question you don't already know the answer too. He's asked questions, gotten and answer he apparently didn't like and then interupts the witness.

Baez brings up the 10 seconds on the chloroform search page.. but then goes to prove it was Casey by noting the person then went to MySpace. No one else in that family used My Space.

Dont know if that's a big deal or not, but found it amusing.

Seriously! They have always looked funky but they are very bizarre today and distracting. I would like to think an inmate held her down and gave her the special look but I think she is kept away from the general public so it isn't likely.

You are not alone. Someone on Twitter mentioned the eyebrow thing as well. Even posted side by side photos from yesterday and today.

Although she deserves the death penalty for killing Caylee, knowing how prison inmates treat other inmates who commit crimes against children, Casey spending life in general population wouldn't be too bad either.
