Casey Anthony TRIAL thread #2

One of the people being interviewed mentioned that the search for chloroform was only done once and the person was logged in for under 2 minutes. Has anyone else heard that? That doesn't seem very damning. Casey could have looked at the picture Ricardo posted, wondered what it meant and did a quick search to find out. If she was plotting to use chloroform to kill her daughter, you would think she would spend a little more time researching it. I don't know if the person that just noted this has her facts right.

But there was more than one search though, wasn't there? As well as one that search "how to make cholorform" first mispelled and then spelled correctly.

Again, unless I am mistaken, the state does not have to prove premeditation in order to convict her of first degree murder. That is ONE way to do it, but not the ONLY way.

If she is found to have committed felony murder...........a killing, even if unintentional, while committing another felony such as aggravated child abuse..........that equals first degree murder.

And if she is convicted of first degree murder based on felony murder, she will be eligible for the death penalty. Premeditation is not needed. Nearly every commentator seems to be ignoring this and obsessing on premeditation.

Although she deserves the death penalty for killing Caylee, knowing how prison inmates treat other inmates who commit crimes against children, Casey spending life in general population wouldn't be too bad either.

But will she be in the general pop?

Let's all say it
" Do. You. Have. Any. Further. Objections.?"
:laughing::laughing::rotfl:

Right!

I would think so. She's obviously in protective custody while in the Orange County jail because she's such a high profile inmate for them, almost like a celebrity and has probably enjoyed a few special privileges. But once she is found guilty and is sentenced to real prison, she becomes just another convicted felon.

Not necessarily. If she is convicted she could still be kept in segregation in order to keep her from the general pop. due to her profile and conviction.

come on judge, do something to wake up the jury. They're yawning ad checking their watches.

Bears repeating. :thumbsup2

I don't think Casey will become "just another convicted felon" for a very long time.

I'm not paying much attention to this guy, because I was looking for something (that DH swore he didn't have, but I found it in HIS files...but that's another thread...maybe "annoying husbands"?)...but the searches for self-defense and head injuries...I really have to wonder if Casey was contemplating killing her parents. That had been brought up before on this or the other thread, because she seemed to be planning to live in their house with Amy...but then again, could easily be just another big lie. And I'm sure we'll never ever know. But "self-defense" would never work as a defense against a 2 yr old.

That is entirely possible. I don't work in the prison system, so I'm just guessing. I would think that even if she's in segregation, that other inmates could still "get" to her.

The self defense look ups? as another post said was she planning on offing her parents? was she planning on saying someone broke in and Caylee got killed in the struggle? of course Casey would have to have some self defense wounds.

This guy on the stand is very intelligent but tough to listen to. His monotone can lull you to sleep!
