Casey Anthony TRIAL thread #2

To answer your question. Cindy clearly said in her testimony that Caylee would climb the ladder with her (cindy) right behind her to make sure she didn't fall. Then Caylee would sit on the platform, Cindy would then get into the pool and then Caylee would usually jump into her arms to be caught.

I never heard her say Caylee went up the ladder by herself, but she always had Cindy helping her. She never climbed into the water by herself, she had to wait for a grownup to tell her it was OK to come in.

My impression is of her doing what my kids used to do at that age. Sitting on the platform with their feet dangling into the water and as soon as I said ok..they would sorta of launch themselves from that sitting position into the pool where I would catch them.

Thanks! :goodvibes That's just what I thought Cindy had said. It drives me insane the way these professionals get the facts all screwed up. And Jean Casarez has such a know-it-all attitude, like she is an authority on the trial itself and is a jury mind reader.

I don't recall ever hearing about neighbors who heard noise in the pool, but if they did, I would then think its possible Casey drowned her on purpose and THAT is how she killed Caylee. I will never believe it was an accident. Ever.

That email from Rick Plesea is interesting as well, I've seen other emails from him to Cindy where he was calling Cindy out for having her head buried in the sand and it was clear Casey had probably killed her daughter.

OK, I originally read this on WS (can't remember the link) and did some searches to "complete my education". ;)

It's pretty much established that KC's new friends were into weed. Evidently a "concentrated liquid essence of marijuana" called hash oil or honey oil is made using a solvent - sometimes chloroform. This suggests several possibilities - did KC get the recipe for chloroform off the internet for TL & friends? Did they make it & she "borrowed" some? Were the paper towels (in trash bag in trunk) used to wipe up a spill (gosh, sounds like I'm working for the defense on that one)?

So many questions...

holy cow - the things you learn while watching a trial.... i'm sooooooooo nieve when it comes to all things drugs. gees.... wait - maybe its a good thing.

I have my Pre-Op appointment tomorrow so I'm going miss almost all of the testimony :sad2:

So if you guys could post notes about who's testifying and what they're saying I'd be most appreciative!

We'll post lots of notes, but remember court doesn't start until 1:00 tomorrow afternoon so you might not miss a bunch unless they run late too. Though I can't wait to see who the prosecution is waiting for! :thumbsup2

irishbosoxfan as in your screen name, are you Irish? Did you read in the jailhouse letters that Casey wanted to adopt an Irish baby (one with an accent!)

"I always wanted to adopt a baby or child from another country- is it selfish to want one from Ireland? Accent and all?

She also thought about going the Irish boyfriend route too "I've always like Italian guys, but I've come to realize that I need to stick to my roots and go Irish. They may be drunks, but at least they cook and know how to properly treat a woman. Can I get an Amen?"

Gee, her Irish guy could say about her "She may be a murderer, but at least she can cook up some chloroform and know how to properly dispose of a body". Can I get a Amen?

hold on - why is court starting at 1??

i'm finally home in the morning and it's not on? agrrr - i have to leave at 1.20 to go see my midwives

ya i know we've been dransfered to the high risk unit but i want to update them as they said they would come to the labour "if" no one goes into labour that is under their care

Were the paper towels (in trash bag in trunk) used to wipe up a spill (gosh, sounds like I'm working for the defense on that one)?

The entomologist, Dr. Dean Haskell, said an abundance of larvae and a few adult [coffin] flies were found in paper towels from the trash bag (the one in the trunk), leading him to conclude that the paper towel had been used to wipe decompositional fluids.

i'm watching showbiz tonight and they are showing the moadhouse that is the spectators.

these people are goules. really. running people over just to get a seat in the court room to see this trial????

i also think the court house is wrong in that they are not handing out numbers outside where they are lined up so they don't have to do this stupid mad dash once they open the doors.

gaud-what are people thinking. it's not a concert or the last Harry Potter movie - it's a trial of the murder of a poor little girl and these people are pushing and shoving so they can get the right to say we saw it in person

:lmao: Thanks, I needed that.

Thanks, I must have zoned out on that point.

I'm finding it so sad and eerily coincidental that the prosecution has a good shot of resting their case on the anniversary of Caylee's death. I pray for justice for this child every single night.

Yep! Erin go Bragh!

I couldn't imagine if she did get off that anyone would give her a kid--Heck if she did get off I'd like to have her sterilized!

I know right!!

How fair is it that you stood in line all night just to have someone get a seat who showed up right before they opened the doors.

Passing out tickets in the outside line would make more sense.

According to that letter from cindy's brother, it really does look like caylee drowned and casey covered it up. The chloroform googling looks like it may have been drug-related (casey mixing it with whatever to get high.) I wonder if Cindy's brother is going to be called as a witness by the defense.

I missed most of the trial today, but I was watching Dr Drew tonight, and they had video of Casey laughing in the courtroom. I don't know when it was from, but she's snickering and covering her mouth like she just can't help herself.

Anyone know what that was about? What was so funny that she just couldn't contain herself during the murder trial for her daughter?

People want to be able to say they were part of "history". Granted, this stuff isn't going into history books, but it is something interesting to throw into a conversation "Oh, yeah, I was in the courtroom when they showed the duct tape over the skeleton video (or insert other forensic evidence)!"

A few years ago, we had a sensational murder trial in my area. I don't think it made national headlines, but was huge in the local news. About a week into the trial, the news reporters said that they were surprised that there weren't many people in the courtroom. The next day, there was a lineup to get into the courtroom and people were being turned away. Then the reporters were talking about the influx of people trying to get in. Go figure! I think many people don't realize the general public can attend a trial.

As for the crowds, on one of the HLN shows today, they had the "Sharpie Lady" on. After the mass rush the other day, this woman brought a sharpie to the courthouse line and numbered everyone in line to make sure that the people in the front got in. The first day she brought the sharpie, she ended up being 14th in line herself. I guess the court officials were ok with this as they let the numbered people into the courtroom in numerical order! They showed footage of her numbering people as they came to the line. She said she did it to make it easier, no mad rushes, and so people could leave the line to go to the bathroom and not lose their place. I hope she's smart enough to use a different colored sharpie for each new day of the trial otherwise someone's going to be claiming the same number they were the day before!

I thought they said it was something that the entomologist said? Not sure though.

anyone else think dr drew should stick with celeb rehab???

he's not a lawyer - what the hell is he going on about the trial for? it's not even his field

Cindy addresses this in her letter back to Rick. According to her, she had to be very tight lipped about the entire thing because she was told she could not talk about it but she was adament that this sceniro couldn't have happened. She also did say that the police talked to everyone, and no neighbor said anything of the sort to her knowledge. I believe also she said if they knew who supposedly heard the noise to tell her or the police.

Not sure if she addressed the calls or not, but she kept repeating that she couldn't talk about the details of what she did know, but their speculation wasn't it. Who knows.

I agree with you here. If she did drown as a cause of death, there isn't a great possibility that it was really an accident. Probably would have been plausiable for Casey to knock her out, then put her in the pool?

Dr. Drew = useless regurgitation of testimony + lots of speculation.

hold on - why is court starting at 1??

The prosecutions next witness is traveling to Orlando right now and won't be at the courthouse until 1. They didn't give a name or where they are coming from, so hmmm - wondering who is it going to be? :confused3

Hopefully it's someone who will slam dunk something! :goodvibes

I'm still looking at old info, and saw this about Casey claiming to 2 different friends that she felt like she was having a breakdown back in 2007:

01/07/2009 "Annie (Downing) spoke of an emotional breakdown Casey had in late 2006 or early 2007. She said Casey showed up at her work for lunch one day saying she needed to talk. Casey told her she needed to get away and felt like she was having a breakdown. Casey did not tell Annie what triggered this. Casey told her she wanted to go to an institution and that Caylee could stay with her mom (Cynthia). Casey said she needed help. When she called Casey later to check up on her, Casey said she'd talked to her mother and everything was okay."

and this:

"In March of 2007 Casey called Michelle (Murphy) and said she was feeling crazy and needed someone to talk to. Michelle said this conversation took place shortly after Casey told her she had a miscarriage. Casey was thinking about getting herself committed. Casey told her she had imagined this life with Brandon and that she was suppose to have this baby in October. Casey did not know what to do and she did not feel like she was being a very good mother to Caylee. Casey did not say why she thought this. She also did not give Michelle a particular reason she was having these feelings. When Michelle called to check on Casey the day after this conversation, Casey "kinda blew me off" and said everything was fine. This made Michelle question if Casey had made this up to get sympathy."

Oh, if she had only gotten some help back then :guilty:
