Casey Anthony NOT GUILTY & Sentencing Thread 6

Well, you may not mean to be offensive, but but the last sentence is quite an insult to law enforcement,to the DA's Office of Orange County, and to the wonderful and dedicated prosecutors involved. All of whom have a great deal of legal experience and verified legal minds. Perhaps you should look up Judge Belvin Perry's and Jeff Ashton's outstanding resumes and records.

But I'll forgive you for being unintentionally offensive because you apparently do not have a "legal" mind either.

The vast majority of murder cases depend on circumstantial evidence. (See Scott Peterson). Not many murderers are considerate enough to kill people in full view of an audience, and are actually apprehended by law enforcement with the murder weapon in hand.

The State in this case had a very strong circumstantial case. Perhaps some people were not paying attention.

This jury obviously gave this defendant the benefit of every unreasonable doubt and sent common sense flying out the window.

Let me leave you with this thought: Who was the parent and "caregiver" of little Caylee?

Answer -- Casey Anthony. Where was she when little Caylee died (of any cause). Where was she when little Caylee was wrapped in trash bags and dumped in a swamp? Why did she lie to her parents and law enforcement until so much evidence was destroyed. Child Neglect falls under the Child Abuse Statute. Where was Casey Anthony when her child died? Why was she not protecting her?

Casey Anthony should have been convicted of Aggravated Child Abuse at a minimum. Her child died in her care and she is responsible. End of story.

BTW, all those people you you mentioned who deserve credit just had their pay cut by 3% by the Governor of Florida who considers all State employees to be no different than welfare recipients on the public teat. Maybe you should write the governor about that...

Don't get me started about the "honorable" Governor Scott...... :headache:

Bob Kealing just tweeted:

State has filed new motion to hold #CaseyAnthony accountable for investigation costs.

#lindadraneburdick asking for hearing within 60 days to give them time to determine how much state can bill #CaseyAnthony.]

Also, how can anyone expect to get money from Casey if she was declared indigent by the state??

PORNO company took back the offer....they said that their customers would not like to see a porno with her. OMG she really will be shunned. If I were going to brand her with a scarlet letter it would be K for killer.

Don't you just want to look at those jurors and say, "The reason you were sick to your stomachs was because you weren't listening to your conscience, gut, etc."

WTG!:thumbsup2

You all deserve star stickers!

THIS!!

What divine knowledge do these people have who know she is guilty without the States evidence? :sad2:

I just heard that on jane velez! Did she sell pictures?? This is a big mystery!

DARN! I was posting and missed that part. WHAT photos? How low can you go day after the verdict and she is already making money along with that sleeze bag BAEZ.

I get the concept, I really do and I try. But, at the end of the day, one is convinced of something by some kind of fact. I don't feel she's guilty, I know it.

If you really believe something, SOMETHING convinced you, did it not? You just don't believe something on a whim. I struggle with this, its very contradictory , in my eyes.

It is difficult. I think she did it too and I really think she should be in jail. I am disappointed with the verdict.

But legal guilt is really a different animal, and I have to separate my desire to punish Casey for what she did from my desire to ensure civil liberties to all Americans. Making sure reasonable doubt is overcome by a jury of our peers is so important, and I don't believe this jury took that responsibility lightly.

It's really not contradictory to say that you believe she did it but do not believe she is guilty.

Anyone watching JVM? What did they say about a trust fund from 2008 which caused Casey to owe 68K to the IRS? I did not understand.

Tim Miller and Equusearch want their $112K+ back for the money they spent on investigation. They're planning a lawsuit against Casey. Says isn't sure lawsuit will happens (but personally, I hope it does). He said that they were looking for a missing child that wasn't really missing. Cindy Anthony called them looking for their help when Casey knew Caylee wasn't missing. Using Baez's statement about "Caylee was never missing" from his opening statement as their evidence.

Zaneida is slapping a lawsuit on Casey. Casey was served with a subpoena in jail last night!!!! Excellent move on John Morgan (Zaneida's attorney). Attorney's going to ask Casey why she chose this woman's life to ruin! Snap!!! I guess Zaneida's kids lives were threatened, she lost her job and her home! ZOWIE!!

$68K+ in unpaid taxes.

Oh, Casey ... you thought you'd be free but you're going to be financially burdened as your "future earnings" are already starting to slip away!

Exactly. And even if people watched the whole trial start to finish on tv or even in the courtroom, unless they were the one who swore to uphold the law (i.e., not find a person guilty if there is any reasonable doubt) they cannot say what they would do. Also, remember the jury was sequestered so they did not get Nancy Grace's opinion of every minutia of the trial while it was going on. We don't convict people on "gut feelings" in this country and that is what makes us the greatest nation.

In about 22 hours, but who's counting! :teeth:

We'll be waiting to hear tomorrow!

Just finished watching Jeff Ashton's interview with In Session. Interesting to listen to his take on the Anthony family.
