Casey Anthony Civil Trials Discussion

I'm enjoying it! The beginning was just so-so for me because it was a rehash of everything I already knew. Aside from Ashton's marital status and number of kids, there wasn't anything revealing. The 9-11 calls and jailhouse meetings are reviewed and there wasn't a whole lot of extra that was revealed, IMO.

The next few parts have been really good. Getting a good feel on how others viewed Cindy and Casey and their relationship has been interesting. None of that testimony was allowed because it was all hearsay so some of it is new info for me, at least.

I enjoyed Jeff's opinion on Kronk and I have really enjoyed his commentary on Baez. So far, there hasn't been an entire section dedicated to Baez but Jeff's opinion of his unprofessionalism, and lack of ethics are expounded upon whenever he can relate it to the ongoing story. I will be shocked if the FL Bar doesn't bring some charges against Baez. He certainly seems unethical and I haven't even reached the point of the trial yet.

I am not reading it as quickly as I generally read a book only because I know the ending. It isn't like this is any big mystery. But I have found it very interesting to see how the system worked (or didn't work) in this case.

There have been a lot of interesting little tidbits. I will get to something and think, "I need to post this on The DIs." Unfortunately, life takes over and a few hours later other items are clogging up my brain and I have totally forgotten what I wanted to post! I think it is worth the read.

Okay then I will get it. I was afraid it might be a lot of nothing but now that i KNOW he rips Baez then I feel like it might be worth reading.

Saw this on this morning's TODAY show: http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/45387348 . Seems like Dr. Keith Ablow wrote his own book about Casey titled "Inside the Mind of Casey Anthony". Here's the transcript lifted from the website (thus the lack of uppercase and the misspelling of Caylee's name). I am not going to correct anything (spelling, punctuation, letters that should be uppercase). However, I am adding who is saying what so it's easy to follow. KA= Keith Ablow, MD and SG= Savannah Guthrie (the interviewer):

SG: was found not guilty of murdering her daughter, kay lee, a verdict that sent shock waves through much of the country. in his new book "inside the mind of caseyanthony " forensic psychology dr. keith ablow draws interesting conclusions about the case. in writing and researching the book he did not speak to george or cindyanthony or casey . you don't have a connection to this case per se . what is your qualification to write a book like this?

KA: absolutely. listen when you create a psychological profile of somebody you have to get enough sources so her friends, boyfriends, relatives, enumerable sources, thousands of pages of documents to piece together who was this woman and why did this happened. we know what happened.

SG: so many people wonder about that. i know one thing we did was pour over some of the police interviews in this case. if the trial established one thing beyond a reasonable doubt she's an accomplished liar. what do you see in that behavior?

KA: this is a woman with no internal self. she grew up with a psychological assassin for a mother. we're talking about somebody who didn't even know her own daughter was seven months pregnant. can you imagine?

SG: what does that term mean?

KA: she was intent on not recognizing caseyanthony as a real person, and somebody worthy of responding to in a genuine fashion. why else would she permit her father, why would cindyanthony permit her husband to be at the foot of the bed when caseyanthony delivered kay lcaylee? can you imagine the humiliation? she wasn't there.

SG: i know you draw a lot of conclusions in particular from the episode where george anthony is in the delivery room as his daughter gives birth.

KA: outrageous.

SG: playing devil's a advocate.

KA: i knew you'd do that.

SG: some would say who would support her?

KA: at the foot of the bed? if you didn't have the facts of not knowing that her daughter was pregnant for seven months, of the fact when they find the car, the car has been missing for a month. they've been told listen, you no he what? we found it two weeks ago and george anthony says it smelled like death to me and i worried whether my granddaughter's corpse might have been in there. he goes to his ten buck an hour job as a security guard . this is who caseyanthony grew up with. are we surprised?

SG: you say are we surprised? you think caseyanthony killed her daughter?

KA: i present five theories. the theory that holds the most water psychologically, i'm not saying this happened but psychologically, if you lined up ducks in a row, you'd say the night when cindyanthony threatened to take caylee from casey was the end of the line . i'm not going to watch my daughter annihilated like i was. she got a tattoo saying " beautiful life " her daughter's untortured relatively compared to her own and released her to the heavens.

Thank you! Lily, born a little early. 18 1/2", 5 lbs 15 oz. Everyone is doing great. :)

I'm a grandma! :)

OMG! I can't believe how fast the time went! Congratulations MaryAnn to you and your entire family. What a great Thanksgiving, so much to be thankful for!

Hope your daughter and grandbaby are doing well!

I haven't had a chance to really get into the book. Ive read about 5 chapters so far. Between my kids bathroom having a plumbing emergency, then the garage door falling off its track and breaking the motor and preparations for Turkey day, Ive been a bit busy!

I do however now Zenaida FG was being deposed today. Channel l13 just tweeted this:

Still amazes me how once again, CA managed to get out of answering questions and gets to hear ZGF answer first!

Who was crying and arguing ... Zanny the Nanny or Casey??

I'm sorry but :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl::laughing:!!!

"I'm innocent, and I'm not pleading to anything" leads them to immediately call in psychiatrists to determine her competence??? Yeah, I would have thought she was crazy too. They just didn't realize that the jury was as crazy as she was! :sad2:

:lmao: so true

I'm a grandma! :)

Congratulations!!:lovestruc:cloud9:

That was hard to read..but boy do I agree with one statement.

"Psychological Assassin" is the best description of Cindy I have ever heard or read.
Dr. Ablow nailed it.:worship::worship:

Thanks everyone!! She came home this morning and we're having a quiet laid back Thanksgiving. Happy Thanksgiving to you all!

Interesting. They released the deposition of Zenida Gonzalez today. It turns out that her name is not Zenida Fernandez-Gonzalez. It is Zenida Gonzalez.

It also turns out that she was investigated a couple of times by Child Family Services for neglect of her own children and she was arrested for some type of drug offense.

Also, she was not working prior to this case, so she did not lose her job over it.

She is being paid by Morgan & Morgan.

I have no problem with someone who was truly harmed by the case getting money, but I feel like Zenida just saw a chance to cash in. Unfortunately, Morgan & Morgan seem to have also seen dollar signs. Good luck on that one!

Interesting. Why would a lawyer take a case like this if those facts are true? I know it is all about the money but he isn't going to get any if he doesn't have a case.

I seems like he has upped the amount of commercials on TV lately. I'm so tired of hearing, "Morgan and Morgan...for the people."

They took this case on early in the proceedings. I think they thought Casey would get all kinds of deals and make a ton of money. They thought wrong. The last I heard, they had a Paypal thing up for Zenida on their website so people could make donations to her plight.

What really got to me was her saying how she couldn't face her children and couldn't take care of them. Pretty strange considering she's been investigated twice for child neglect. Where was all that concern then.

I agree on the commericals. I get really tired of them. By the way, did you see the pictures of John Morgan's home when he hosted the event for Obama? He's not doing to badly!
