Casey Anthony Civil Trials Discussion

Something lovely is happening: :love::love:

Caylee Memorial To Become Permanent
Walkway, Benches To Be Built Off Suburban Drive

ORLANDO, Fla. -- A nonprofit group has purchased the land where Caylee Anthony's remains were found with the intent to turn it into a permanent memorial.
Since Caylee's remains were found blocks away from the Anthony family home in December 2008, the land off Suburban Drive has turned into a place where the public has made their own makeshift memorial, but there are now plans for a walkway lined with benches.
Groundbreaking is set to take place sometime in the next several months.

NO WAY!! Three Months? I say two weeks and I think even that is conservative. She is a media hound and the thing is if she lets the time go too long people will be on to some other horrific crime and she will not get her due.:rotfl2: You know how they time heals all wounds....than again they also say absence makes the heart grow fonder.

I agree - we'll hear from her before the end of the month.

Wow LP is super happy he is going to get to take all the "players'" depositions under oath now.

He is the biggest "player" of them all. He rode this trial for as long as he could. I never understood why any of the news channels even gave him the time of day once Casey was back in jail.

I don't think it was her either.

At this point, Im over Casey Anthony. I just want her out of my state and want her to stop sucking this state dry financially. She will get hers eventually. Might take a while and maybe after she gets away with more things but sooner or later, it will come back to her someway, of that Im certain. Good Riddance to her! GET OUT , is all I have to say ;)

Im still not over the jury however. Im more concerned about how people see their roles as jurists. Im concerned about the precedent this defense team has created and all the foolishness that exists to get OUT of trouble. So much is getting lost in this circus
...

I am really concerned over the whole defense tactic of telling lies and throwing people under the bus to save their client and NOT having to produce any support for those lies...and can't be held accountable for the lies. The fact that they can basically put someone on trial that had nothing to do with it..and he has no recourse just makes me sick. I also have concern over the fact that this jury has all but admitted that they did not follow the rules handed down to them by the judge and again there is no recourse and no holding them accountable.

I don't like the road I see things possibly going down for future trials. Maybe this is already happening in trials but with it going national and actually being able to see this...well, I just think it sets a really bad precedence.

Jane Fonda: QVC axed my appearance over politics

NEW YORK (AP) — Jane Fonda says she's been banished from QVC amid concerns about her political past. The network says it was a routine programming change.
Fonda was set to appear on the home-shopping channel on Saturday to promote her new book on aging, "Prime Time." But the day before, she learned her segment had been cancelled.
In a statement posted on her website, Fonda says QVC told her of receiving "a lot of calls" from viewers criticizing her opposition to the Vietnam War and threatening to boycott the show if she was allowed to appear.
Fonda goes on to say she is "deeply disappointed that QVC caved to this kind of insane pressure" and declares, "I love my country."
Paul Capelli, a spokesman for West Chester, Pa.-based QVC, confirmed Fonda's cancelled appearance, but specified no reason.
"It's not unusual to have a schedule change with our shows and guests with little or no notice," he said in an e-mail. Fonda is not currently re-scheduled to appear, he said.

I'm not sure if anyone else has posted this yet or not but I saw a tweet today that it's being reported that Casey is on Geraldo Rivera's yacht.

I watched a bit of his conversation with Jose Baez last night (before I turned back to RHONJ because I decided I wasn't going to listen to anything else JB had to say) and at one point Geraldo told Jose that his cell phone wasn't coming in well and to go back over to the window. At the time I thought to myself, how does he even know he is near a window? Baez could have been outside on a patio or in a car, etc. but now that I hear this rumor, I have to wonder if Geraldo doesn't know exactly where she is because she's on his Yacht.

This is really good if anyone missed it. It is Judge Jeanine. The first part is Al Taylor who is supposedly giving the money for the interview. But the part I LOVE is starting right before 4:00 on here all the way to the end, it is SOOOO true. Love it.

So like QVC did not know in advance she was one of the most UN Americans that ever lived. Was it a surprise to them? I am glad that their viewers set them straight.

I hope a ton of people e mailed Today.

BTW I am officially inventing a new phrase to take the place of "going postal" It is now going to be "going Casey" and that is what I wanted to do to my husband. We are having 9 people for a small birthday get together for my adult son. Pizza, salad, soda and appitizers as well as dessert. The people coming eat very little ....how many PIzZAS (20 in) would you order? 3, 4? NAHHH he orders 6!! OMG I wanted to go "CASEY" on him!

So if they dont know anything over in England or where ever why would someone pay for this interview?

A little mellow dramatic and egotistical if you ask me. MOST HATED PERSON IN THE WORLD? REALLY? I mean like she thought she was hated more than Hitler, Bin Laden, the 9/11 highjackers, Ted Bundy.....I could go on and on.

Also she needed to work in porn to support her kid? WHAT KIDS she had no kids when she went to jail so where did they come from? Sorry she is just a Casey JR.
:thumbsup2

Amy Fisher is so full of it. She and her husband just found a way to cash in on her "fame".

The "appeal" of Casey Anthony tho is that we still don't know exactly what happened, and I think people will try to be getting that out of her. Also, with social media being what it is, there will be people reaching out to her, altho not necessarily the right people. Amy Fisher does have children. :confused3

Oh, I want to be clear, ITA with all of you.

AF is a fame ***** just like CA will come to be if she is not already through all this …. BUT I wanted to point out though that I really doubt CA will ever ever be happy, I really doubt she will have a happy life at all. I mean come on, she has to know that she is one HATED individual. HATED. ::yes::

And oh bother to Geraldo's yacht. I so wish there was no twitter because I just do not want to hear anything at all about her ever. I wish she would just fade into space somewhere never to be seen or heard from again. :headache:

Just because she was against the Vietnam war doesn't make her UN American in my book. It just gives her an opinion that she could speak freely about. Now if people took offense that she had a differing opinion of the Vietnam war and they hold that position 40 years later after everything that is known, well, I would say that is a bit surprising. We have a few wars going on and I don't think people who oppose those are UN American either.

This article is more of Jennifer Ford's whining. It says her boyfriend kicked her out the day of the verdict!!! Wow.

http://www2.tbo.com/news/breaking-n...an-regrets-serving-on-anthony-jury-ar-244721/

I call BS! She knew perfectly that this trial was a biggie and she pretty much begged to be on the jury. The "I didnt know" rings hollow.

Then, she says the media forced her talk! Really? How come we haven't heard from others. And then the ones that didn't release their names or take a trip to Disney World.

And sorry, I don't buy the inference that her BF left her after the verdict. I venture to his leaving had nothing to do with the verdict.

This woman needs a shovel to help her dig that hole.

Not to turn this political, but people do not call her "UN American" because she was against the Vietnam War. Anyway, that wasn't the point of bring up the topic of Jane Fonda, the point is she is controversial, and a network responded to viewers who expressed their opinions.

She did not know the world was watching. Yeah right. Um, did someone break her arm to talk? She knew she was it for some kind of compensation

Pinellas woman regrets serving on Anthony jury

"If she had to do it all over again, Jennifer Ford says, she might not have been as willing to serve as a juror in the Casey Anthony murder trial.

Her boyfriend kicked her out the day after the verdict. Swarms of media have tried to get interviews with her. There has been nationwide scorn for the 12-member jury panel that cleared Anthony of first-degree murder and other felony charges in the death of her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee.

"If I knew then what I know now, I might not have been so honest," says Ford, a 32-year-old nursing student. "I didn't know the whole world was watching and that everyone had their mind made up on what the verdict was. I didn't understand the magnitude of it."

Now, however, she does.

For the woman who in May hadn't even heard about the case when it took two weeks to seat a jury from Pinellas County, it has been an eye-opening experience.

"It's just overwhelming," says Ford, who has lost about 10 pounds from all the stress related to the case.

Reporters were at her house before she even arrived home from Orlando after the six-week trial. The same was true at her mother's residence.

When friends came out of the house, they were under siege from reporters. So was the air-conditioning repairman.

"I was pretty much forced to talk," she says of an interview she gave to ABC News in which she said there was not enough evidence to convict Anthony of more-serious charges. "They wouldn't go away."

If she had it her way, Ford says, she would not have given that interview – in which she returned to Orlando for a chat with a network reporter.

"I don't think you should have to talk about it," she says. "It wasn't my idea. It certainly wasn't what I wanted. I just wanted my freedom. If that is what I had to do, so be it."

Ford blames the media for much of what has happened after the verdict that led to much anger and many protests.

"I think the media helped them to determine what their thoughts are," she says. "I think the media helped to determine the case before the jury saw it."

Ford says she hopes to never again see a criminal case from the jury box.

"I should get a lifetime pass," she says."

So we are to believe that she had never heard of the CA case and lives in Pinellas Cty. :headache: Whatever. :headache:

Can I just vent that I loved putting that I in front CA's name …………..
