Ok....I know this has been probably answered numerous times....but I leave in 2 days...and have 100 things to do....so I thought I'd ask it again!

Ok....I know I can carry on the following items. Do I have it right on which ones need to be in a 1 qt baggie...

~ Hand sanitizer
~ sunscreen

What about...

~ wet one's handwipes?
~ Advil (pill form)
~ Lip gloss/Vaseline tube
~ Solid deodorant

And then I know I can carry on electronics....like phone, ipod, camera...do I just pull them out separately though security!

And snacks...can I buy those before security. I know liquids need to be bought after security....

I have flown tons of times but seems things are always changing!

Thank you!

Ok....I know I can carry on the following items. Do I have it right on which ones need to be in a 1 qt baggie...

~ Hand sanitizer as long as it is 3.4oz or smaller
~ sunscreen as long as it is 3.4oz or smaller

What about...

~ wet one's handwipes? should be fine, but may have to declare to TSA
~ Advil (pill form) can stay in carry on leave in carry on
~ Lip gloss/Vaseline tube put in baggie as long as it is 3.4oz or smaller
~ Solid deodorant leave in carry on

And then I know I can carry on electronics....like phone, ipod, camera...do I just pull them out separately though security! don't have to do anything, just leave in carry on. Only thing that has to be removed is a laptop

And snacks...can I buy those before security. I know liquids need to be bought after security.... yes, as long as they are not liquid or gel

I have flown tons of times but seems things are always changing!

The only things that have to go into your 1qt liquid baggie are liquids or gels-- anything that won't hold its shape without a container.

Happy Packing!!!:)

put everything liquid, gel or close to it in baggie, Have your baggie ready before you get to security. DOuble check your purse for lotions and chapsticks. Nothing worse than having to dump your purse for the TSA to rifle through.

I take wet wipes, clorox wipes and baby wipes in my carry on with no problem. I just put them all in the same pocket in bag just in case.

Electronics are ok to stay in bag except laptops, large video games (XBOX etc.), DVD players, net books and maybe new Ipads (not sure about those guys)

snacks should be no problem...avoid PB/J unless already on bread ;), and sometimes my local airport has problems with bananas :rotfl2:

Thank you everyone!!

I ended up just packing a few things in my purse....left the sunscreen, etc in the suitcase and will just add it before we go to the park the next day!!!

I've read thru all the items listed on the TSA website and I can't find anything listed about alcohol. Not large amounts of course....but the little jigger bottles of an item they don't sell on the plane...Bailey's to be specific.

Has anyone had any experience with this or seen anything in writing regarding this?? I would put it in a plastic baggie of course but I would like to carry it on thru Security.

Thoughts??

Just as with any other liquid/gel/paste, liquor in 3.4 ounce or smaller containers that fit in your single quart-size bag is permitted.

This is where my confusion comes in. Is it 3.4oz total you can have in your baggie? Or can you have several different 3.4oz containers as long as they fit in your baggie?:confused3

It is as many 3.4oz items as will fit into your baggie and the baggie still close.

Kaytieeldr--I like how fast you answered the question about the alcohol. Is there something you feel like sharing with the rest of us, praytell??;)

Like my new travel tips? Solid deodorant, Colgate Wisps, mineral (powder) make-up... so there's plenty of room in my quart bag next to the shampoo, conditioner, and mascara for a few nips? Me? Innocent  me?

The TSA doesn't forbid alcohol (except any alcohol over 140 proof,) but I've heard some airlines do. You might want to call to check.

You will not be allowed to drink your own alcohol on the plane, though.

I flew Southwest for a DCL cruise in January and participated in the FE swap. I took 10 tiny bottles of rum (8 in one baggie, two smooshed in with the other toiletries) and had no problem whatsoever. I took one baggie and my husband had the other.

Katie, solid shampoo and conditioner from Lush will leave even more room! :-)

Lush! Thank you! Somebody posted that right after the liquid restrictions went into effect, but I couldn't remember the name.

eta: new resolution: no more advice from LWQuestie. There's already over $30 in my shopping cart and I haven't left the front page! :rotfl:

can you put nail polish in the ziploc baggie? I just don't want to pack it if I can carry it on instead.

For the love of chocolate, though, please do not apply said nail polish during the flight!

Not that you were planning on doing so, but I have had a seat mate do so and the odour was not fun.

LOL! Sorry about that.

I always follow my nose to the Lush store inside MCO. Looooove it.
