Caricature Artist

I want to have a caricature artist. Do you know the average cost? Would I have the artist at the reception or dessert part? I'm looking for referrals...have any of you used a caricature artist? What was your experience? How did your guests enjoy the experience.

A caricature artist costs $455 for three hours, with a three-hour minimum, and $155 for each additional hour. Because of the minimum, you would probably have to have one at the reception, because the dessert party usually only lasts and hour or two.

The artist can draw eight to 10 black-and-white caricatures per hour; an additional artist would be required for parties of more than 40 guests (based on four hours of service).

Caricatures are 11x14 inches and do not include envelopes or tubes for transport.

I haven't had my wedding yet but DF and I have been discussing having a caricature artist... I found a link to an artist on Misty's website...

He charges $300 for 3 hours within Orlando (I'm guessing he counts Disney as part of Orlando... otherwise it's $150/hr... 3 hr min... so $450), and says he can do 16 black and white caricatures/hour or 10 color caricatures/hour

If anyone has used him I would love to hear reviews!

I'm confused. Do I have to find my own caricature artist or if I want one Disney provides one for the reception and its included on the BEO? Thanks.

Disney can provide one for you or you can find your own.

Talk with your coordinator - Disney is getting more strict on allowing outside vendors doing "in park/on property" stuff. Your coordinator will help you make a decision that works for you.
