We loved CBR at Christmas. It was decorated with a tropical theme. I still felt like it was Christmas.

Do you have any photos of CBR during the holidays? Thanks!! :goodvibes

I will have to look. It may take a few days because I will be out of town for awhile.

I was wondering about beach toys for the kids...should I bring my own or does CBR have some available for use?

CBR has an internal bus that goes around the resort.

I would suggest bringing your own sand toys. They did have a kids meal in a bucket.

I just made a reservation for a King bed room. Now I'm trying to figure out what area to request. Are the King rooms in a certain area or they spread throughout the resort?

Thanks so much for any help.

Is the water in the lake ok to use to make sand castles?? My kids love to do this but I'm not sure if the water is gross?? Should I bring bottled water, sounds silly, but it's going to be hard enough to keep them out of it.

Sure you can do that. I just wouldn't do it down by the bridge. Too many critters use the water there.

Ducks, turtles, fish, birds. If you are on one of the regular beaches you will be fine using the water for sand castles.

Quick question and I appologize if it's been asked before (I'm sure it has). Are there ceiling fans in the rooms? My husband loves ceiling fans :confused3

Hi Everyone. I have done a Disney Cruise, but am new to the whole Disney World thing. We are looking to book a trip for probably November 06. I am pretty sure the Caribbean Beach Resort is where we want to stay. I have seen people mention an arcade. Is this a video game arcade? or just a shopping arcade? Video games... my DS8 will love.

I have seen it mentioned you can take busses to each park, which I expected. But some have also driven from CBR. We will have a rental car and I wanted to find out if you can really drive from park to park. Is there a fee to park at each of the separate parks? Will you end up being far away and should just use the shuttle anyway? Any input would be appreciated. Thank you.

We've had a rental car for both of our trips which we mainly used to visit relatives in another nearby city, pre-checkin and for airport transportation. We've parked the car at the resort. It's nice not driving to the parks, fighting traffic, parking a zillion miles away, etc. To us it's more relaxing to take the bus. Especially the bus to MK - b/c if you drive to MK, you have to park at the TTC and take the monorail or boat to the actual park. The bus drops you off close to the entrace. CBR is very close driving distance to Epcot & MGM (and very short bus rides - 5 minutes?).

Yes, there is a video arcade at CBR.

Thank you. I assumed that to be the case. Disney is so good at moving people I figured it would be very easy to catch the bus and go to each park. I don't want to drive if I don't have to. We want the rental car to, like you, visit friends and then go to Sea World and Universal. Thanks again.

Just got home this afternoon from CBR and LOVED the resort!!!! We stayed the 1st night in Barbados Room 1339 then switched over to our preferred location. Added a day to our resort and they didn't have a preferred room for us. Stayed in Trinidad North Building 31. We were in Room 3161, 2nd Floor Corner room facing the Court Yard. Personally I didn't think the resort was too big. The walk around the lake was nice and not a huge distance from any of the villages except Trinidad South. DD13 thinks we should have stayed in Jamaica because she loved the colors of the buildings  Used the Internal Shuttle the first morning before I had my bearings to where I was. I knew there was the walkway around the lake but couldn't figure out how to get to it. (I was going on 3 hours of sleep :rotfl2: ) I will definately stay there again!

So glad you had a great experience. We are going in January but haven't been to CBR (or Disney) in about 10 years. Have requested Jamica as that worked well last time.

Just hit the 2 mos mark. Going to start the under 60 days dance soon.
The excitement is building & further fueled by your trip report. Thanks
