Is there any chance renovations take longer than they originally said? We may be staying at CBR the last (or second to last) week of September, and it would be nice for the new pool to be open!

Here are some pictures of the pool construction my we took at the beginning of February. My husband is 6' 10" so he was able to see over the fence.

safetymom, is that basic pirate fort structure in the new pictures the original one? It looks very similar to what I remember (minus the actual pool, that is. LOL). If it's the same structure, I would imagine that they're going expand/enhance it...? Or is that a totally newly-built structure?? Either way, it's going to be an awesome pool area!

So that's what was behind there. Hubby and I were there around the same time, but since neither one of us is 6' 10" we had to make due peeking through the holes. This is much better.

I love this resport.....CBR is a great resort, I have stayed there 3 times already .....I can't wait till Nov 08, do you think all the construction will be complete? I can't wait till its complete.

For the new pool, is the fort portion going to be in the pool area or the pirate slide area? Or they two separate things?

Just letting you all know I booked my November trip, & we will be staying at CBR I booked a perfered room, I like to be close to the food court, & pool.........This IMO is the best MOD resort.

Safetymom, We stayed in Aruba a few years back. I think it was maybe building 55 and I thought it seemed like a long walk to Old Port Royale. Can you tell me how long of a walk it would be from Jamaica to Old Port Royale? I was thinking with the bridge it might not be as long. Also, my DH and I will be going with my four children as well as my mother so we have two rooms booked. What are the odds of getting adjoining rooms? We have requested it but my TA said they can't guarantee adjoining rooms when there are three adults on the reservation, only when there are two. Just wondering if anyone else had a problem with not getting adjoining rooms when they requested it.

I have slept in a rollaway bed at CBR and it was VERY comfortable.

They will try very hard to fill a request.

The walk from Jamaica to the food court should be less than 10 mins. One time I timed it but really there is so much to look and enjoy you don't notice the time or the walk.
