They do not have an icee machine like POP. At least not that I saw.

They do sell smoothies behind the counter though... and if you use the dining plan they count as a drink. Would be nice if it was for the mug like POP though.

I didn't see any "slushies" at CBR, but there are 3 different kinds of smoothies. Strawberry-raspberry, strawberry-banana, and something else - sorry I forget. I had the strawberry-banana and is was excellent and was included as a drink on the DDP and even came in a reusable WDW cup that I washed and brought home! :goodvibes

The third was frozen coffee... I liked the fruity ones better. I am a huge fan of cold coffee in every form, but that was just a weird tasting frozen coffee...LOL

No wonder I didn't remember that one - I'm not a big fan of anything coffee flavored. I like my smoothie to be fruity! :thumbsup2

It was a nice surprise that they were included as a drink on the DDP! :goodvibes

Are the pirate rooms just in 1 section, or do they have a few pirate rooms in each building? Thanks.

OK, a CM at CRO just told me that there are elevators in all the buildings. My mom has knee problems that keep her from being able to climb stairs easily, and I was asking if we needed to fax someone a letter from her orthopedist to guarantee a first floor room (after she told me this could not be guaranteed). Can anyone confirm or deny whether any of the buildings at CBR have elevators?

She also told me that if we have connecting rooms we cannot get a king. We paid for water view, preferred. I was told "There are no connecting king rooms. The king rooms are scattered throughout." If she's wrong about the elevators, then it makes me wonder about the king bed.

I've never seen any elevators at CBR. I don't think that CM is giving you accurate information. Maybe you should call back and talk to someone else. . .

Good luck!

I am so irritated with the amount of misinformation about this resort I have gotten over the phone. :confused3 First, there was a CM who told me there were actual full sized cribs available, now with the elevators. I have found at least 3 sources confirming there are no elevators. I sure hope she's wrong about the king beds. We're going to be there for a week, so it would be nice to sleep with my husband. BUT, connecting IS our priority, so we will make do. It frustrating, you know? I feel for the people who don't do their research and take the CRO's word for it.

Yes, I have definitely been misinformed by CM's on the phone more than once. It is very frustrating!

I hope you get this all straightened out and get what you want and have a great vacation! :goodvibes

Thank you! I know it will all be great in the end. We WILL be at DISNEY! :thumbsup2

I'm two weeks out (AAAAH!!!), and just trying to get all my expectations in line. I think I'm more nervous about details because it's my mom's first visit, and we're taking our baby girl. I'll call back tomorrow and see if a different CM gives me different info on the bed situation.

There are no elevators at CBR.

Everytime we've gone to CBR with someone with mobility issues (Mom, MIL), we've always gotten main floor rooms at check in. No problems.:)

It definitely is Disney's weakest link. Very surprising, but very real.

You HAD 3 sources that CBR has no elevators. Now you have 5 sources, if you include my left eye and my right eye.

I think I'll e-mail Disney with a recommendation ... if a CM isn't 100% sure of an answer from FIRST-HAND knowledge, the CM should place the caller on hold, post the question on DISboards, and then reply to the caller only AFTER a response is posted on DISboards.

Whatcha think???:cheer2:

Haha! Thank you! I think that is a fantastic idea! :)

You can't have water view and preferred. It is one or the other. Personally I would go with a preferred location.

They don't have full size cribs at CBR.

I booked over the phone, and all I asked was for a room in Martinique close to OPR. My reservation says this: "CARIBBEAN BEACH-WATER VIEW." I must not have used the right keywords. Do you know if there be a difference in price if I ask them to change water view to preferred?

:lmao: Sounds like a great idea to me!!

I just wanted to think everyone on here for the great information that you all have provided. I have read most of this thread now, and though everything that I have learned here I feel like I am prepared. I called today and requested a ground floor (Will be bringing sleepy or sleeping kids back, no way will we feel like walking up steps) and also requested Aruba or Jamaca. I know that there are no guarentees. But thanks to you all I had the knowledge to know to call and request my wants. :flower3:
