I am not sure they are all finished or not, but ours sure was, standard view, second floor in building 46.

The only workers I saw anywhere were the gardeners. I admit we did not venture over to Trinidad north or south, but from a beachside hammock by the lake all was quiet.

My trip is coming up fast! Please help! We paid for a preferred room, should we have a request in for a certain location or is any of the rooms we could be given just the same? We are traveling with another family and we want to have rooms next to each other but we have entirely different reservations (they also have preferred). Can I call CRO to link the reservations or send a fax requesting adjacent rooms with both confirmation numbers on it? Do you know how that works?

You should both call reservations and have them do a "travel with" on both of them. This will link them in the system so you have a better chance of being close to each other. Ask for this using the term above. The CM's will know what you are talking about.

We are traveling with another party but checking in on different days so I wasn't sure how this would work. I called and spoke with a CM who took both of the reservation numbers and linked them. We paid preferred, they did not, so we requested Martinique because they have both types of rooms. The CM said we will be given rooms as close together as possible based on what's available when each of us checks in. She was very helpful and happy to help me out.

My friends are staying at POP and we are staying at CBR. Since the guys want some guy time and we want some girl time......
Can my DH and my friend's DH do the bike rental or water activities?
Can their DS play at the arcade?
I know that the pool and hot tub are a no-no, but what about the other activites at CBR?

I don't see why not! The arcade at CBR is huge, my DD11 had to be dragged kicking and screaming from it ( well not literally ) LOL Your DH is a registered guest there, so he can bring a guest with him for bike or water rentals. I also know that the kids pirate cruise that leaves from the CBR dock can be booked by anyone. I think the amenities that you pay for can be booked by anyone. I know people who love to go to the Boardwalk resort and rent bikes all the time who are not staying there.

Take a look at the map of CBR at http://www.wdwinfo.com/resortmaps/cbrmap.htm

The preferred room are in buildings 24, 25, 26 and 31, 32, 33. Therefore the closest non-preferred locations are in buildings 44, 45, 46, 51, and 52.

I thought I read somewhere that you can see Illuminations from CBR? If so from what part of the resort?

Also, is there a timeframe that you need to contact the resort about a room preference? We are going in early May.

Can we call to give them our preferences or does the travel agent have to call.

We've watched Illuminations (you can only see the high parts) from the Jamaica beach, from the Martinique beach and from Old Port Royale.

I normally make my requests when I book our reservation and then call back about a week ahead of time to reiterate them. I believe you must have your travel agent call if they are the ones that booked the reservation for you.

My wife and I have a King Bed room booked at CBR next week from the 8th - 13th. I have two questions:

1. I'd prefer a rennovated room - are there any that are still unrennovated? Any resorts you would recommend (we're not really going to be using the food court so location is less of an issue).

2. I've had a couple of people who have had king bed rooms before (but at another moderate resort) say that it feels like they use queen sized sheets on the king beds so they wake up with the sheets - particularly the bottom sheet - all over the place - other than on the bed. Anyone else have issues with that?

I saw on another post that slushies are available for the refillable mugs at POP. Does CBR have that? Does CBR have hot chocolate for the mugs? (Are you thinking oh no! mug questions!)

Do they have character wake up calls? We really liked Stitch yelling "stop sleeping"!

Martinique 26 is the closest building on the noth side of Old Port Royale, and Trinidad North 31 is the cloest on he south side of OPR. Since preferred location is all about closeness to OPR, these are the two very closest buildings.

I just upgraded to the CBR yesterday and I too have been wondering if they have the slushies at CBR too.
