Caribbean Beach FAQ part VI

I don't believe it's standard language. Our last CBR reservation read" 2 double beds". When is your trip? The room rehab is supposed to start in April.

I just tried reservation date searches through the end of the year and they all said "2 double beds" still.

When did the view description for Standard rooms change to "Views of the Resort Hotel, Courtyard or Woodlands". Used to be parking lot or hotel for standard. Obviously the views haven't changed, but the wording has! :rotfl:

Next trip to the World is Feb 2015. I'm planning on a first stay at Caribbean Beach - I've already stayed at all the other moderates. Looks like a lovely resort and how wonderful if the renovations would be complete!

The whole resort may not be done by then, but there will certainly be plenty of buildings that are. As long as they start on time of course.

Is it okay for dh to take a beer with him to sit on the beach, it would be in a can? And it would just be one, not a cooler or anything like that.

Yes it would be okay. And it would be okay if it was more than one!

We've just booked to go back next March.

I think the replacement description is far more accurate: for our building you either got a lake view or a courtyard view. You certainly couldn't see the car park from building 25 - although you can from buildings 24 and 26 (if unlucky). The 'courtyard' area for 24 is the quiet pool, and for 26 there is a patio set with benches etc: might be one of the smoking areas.

Thanks Mickeystoontown :) I think I'll put in a request for the corner and first floor A pool we can get to Glad I was sent over here to join this group

Corner rooms are all one king-sized bed, so that request will only work if you're a couple!

I requested building 25 or 26 (preferrably 25, I said), and I got it. Next year I've requested 26 as it's nearer the disabled parking row (Although, to be fair, it's further from the Martinique bus stop).

It has been several years since we stayed at CBR. Due to arrive at the end of next month. When we ere there last, the food court opened breakfast stations at about a half hour apart. I generally would go to the food court, grab breakfast platters and go back to the room to eat while we all got ready. So when it opened in the morning, only one station was available - pancakes. We had pancakes ALOT since we are rope drop people. Can anyone tell me if this is still the case? Also, if it is, what is open first and what do they serve? What time?
Does anyone know the order that the other stations open?
Also, may sound very specific, but we are doing a grocery delivery. Does the grab and go sell those individually wrapped cheese sticks? (DDs only source of calcium other than ice cream.) Would rather just get them there than having them delivered.

We found that all the the stations sold variations on breakfasts. The one we queued up at had the Mickey waffles; another did omelettes etc. So, there was plenty of choice - including, of course, the ready packed fruit salads/cereals and bagels, pastries etc in the little food 'shop'.

Just read that there might be cheerleaders in Disney the time frame we're going, and I know they typically stay here and the all stars, so is there a way to find out for sure? Or how annoying is it if there are the big groups there? We stayed at Pop in January and had a huge group of the 15's girls and it really backed up the food court at times.

We had a huge cheerleader thing going on when we first arrived (10th Feb) but we only saw them that evening in the food hall and then they all left on 11th (filling the bus with their bags for 3 stops round to Jamaica or something. We certainly didn't hear them any other time.

That's not 100% accurate. All king rooms are corner rooms but not all corner rooms are kings. We've had two different corner rooms that were two doubles.

Very true, we have received a corner room with two doubles on several occasions.

Just booked my first stay here. Do the coffee pots use the pods like at CSR? Thanks! I am really excited to go back to Disney!:cool1:

In that case would it be best to do online check in?

It's up to you. We always do online check in and have never had a problem. Some people feel there are more guests doing online check in so sometimes the online check in line is longer than the standard line. We have not experienced that though. I like to do it because it's another check list item to check off as being completed. Once I do it the trip seems even closer and more real. Silly, I know. :goodvibes
