There are definitely king rooms at the resort. Maybe, the king rooms are sold out for your dates. But, I agree with BrownMomma7, call back and get another CM. Agree!:thumbsup2

Called back - King rooms may be available but since I'm using an offer and linking rooms (must be connected) this CM told me I have to use same room type. :-/
Oh well - I can request king room at check in and see what happens...if rooms are all still double beds by them I guess it'll be better to have 4 beds.

Well I guess BrownMomma7 has never stayed at the Poly then. I can say for sure that CBR has pack-n-plays.
It's been a few years since the Poly and I know we didn't let DS sleep in the floor. ;-) maybe too many drinks around then world?!?
I do know that there are local companies you may rent one through if needed.

LOL I was trying to be cheap and not have to rent a crib if I did not have to. Worst case we get the bedrails and my DH has to sleep with him ( they do have the bedrails right :confused3 )

Hi all! We've decided on a spur of the moment trip at the end of April and CBR through Orbitz was our best bet. What's a good building to request that's not preferred? I selected Jamaica and corner room during online check in but am open to suggestions. Also do the buses take the same route each time or are the stops different? Is the main building first or last, or somewhere in the middle? Thanks! pixiedust:

Jamaica 45 and Aruba 51 are two of the closest non-preferred buildings. We prefer Jamaica 45 because of the bright yellow buildings of Jamaica.

It's the same route in that the buses always travle clockwise. But depending on what entrance the bus comes in on will determine the order. If it uses the side entrance, then Jamaica is first. If it uses the main entrance then Martinique is first.

Somewhere in the middle. If the bus comes in the side entrance it's 5th. If the bus comes in the main entrance it's 2nd. Here's the map so you can see what I'm talking about.

The side entrance is right by the letter E in the map legend. The main entrance is labeled as such. I hope you enjoy CBR as much as we do. It's our favorite moderate by far!

Yay, we've booked for the 1st-15th of March 2015! :cool1:

We'll do Disney and Universal- we chose to just stay at Disney the whole time and drive over rather then try and find a hotel for the last couple of nights.

Thank you! I'll call in and request those two buildings. We arrive quite early and will probably settle for a room that's ready but maybe I'll get lucky. I'm really looking forward to checking out a new resort, the walk can't be any worse than CSR!

Just read that there might be cheerleaders in Disney the time frame we're going, and I know they typically stay here and the all stars, so is there a way to find out for sure? Or how annoying is it if there are the big groups there? We stayed at Pop in January and had a huge group of the 15's girls and it really backed up the food court at times.

April 27-2. The cheerleading competition the summit is May 2-3, not sure when they come in or if they're only at the all stars.

We are getting very close to our trip, YEAH!! We now have the option to do online check in but I want to make sure we should wait until we get there. I probally asked this before but I honestly can not remember what the answer was. If we want to request a certain area would we be best to wait and check in when we get there? We did make our requests and they did note them on our reservation at the time we made them but would we have a better shot at getting them when we get there if waited until then to check in?
Also how often do the buses come in from the side entrance vs the main entrance?

Cheerleading Worlds start April 25 through April 28. The Summit is May 3 & 4 with practices happening on the 2nd. Both events take place at ESPN Wide World of Sports and the primary hotels are All Stars, then POP, then CBR. The groups/events are not just large, they are huge. Worlds has teams from around the world coming in to compete. The athletes (in general) are 14 to 18 years old. So often not directly supervised by an adult. The Summit is 475 teams from across the US and Canada. The ages range from 9ish to 18. So many are closely supervised. I will be there with DD for The Summit and purposely am not staying at an AS resort because of the craziness. Staying at CBR which will have some athletes but not nearly as many as the value resorts. Athletes usually arrive at least a day before and stay until a day after. Worlds happens to fall during Easter break for many so I would anticipate that many athletes may start arriving earlier that week.

Whether you do online check in or not has zero affect on getting your requests met.

What entrance the bus uses depends on where it came from.

My reservation reads "2 queen beds" wonder if that's just standard language for moderate resort bookings?

Thank you for the information. Our trip was last minute so our choices limited, hopefully we won't encounter too many staying at CBR.

I don't believe it's standard language. Our last CBR reservation read" 2 double beds". When is your trip? The room rehab is supposed to start in April.

Next trip to the World is Feb 2015. I'm planning on a first stay at Caribbean Beach - I've already stayed at all the other moderates. Looks like a lovely resort and how wonderful if the renovations would be complete!
