Sorry, I am sure that this is somewhere on this Thread, but too many pages to read thru, so I thought I'd ask (again, I'm sure)

Getting ready to book room, want Preferred Location, Martinique or Trinidad North.

PLEASE REPLY: What Building is the Best Location out of each??
Martinique 24, 25 or 26 ??
Trinidad North 31, 32 or 33 ??

ALSO: Silly Questions, BUT, is there a certain side of the building I should request. Don't want to look at a parking lot. Any specific room numbers.

I think I can ask for a lower level too, so we don't have to do the stairs, right?

Do they have Corner Rooms with 2 Windows ???

THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH.....I'm sure this had been answered a thousand times......A BIG OLE' PIXIE DUST HUG FOR YOUR REPLIES!!!
:tink:

We leave for our Disney trip next Saturday :cool1:

I would like to request the bottom floor room since I will be taking a stroller and I think it will suck taking it up and down the stairs. When and where should I request this? Should I request it when I get there?

TIA

Has anyone used online check in for CBR? If so, can you request a specific village when doing so? Thanks!

We used it in November, and while it worked great, you cannot make requests during the process. I called in a few weeks before and requested Jamaica or Aruba. We got a great location in Jamaica.

I think the only requests you can make online are for a crib or refrigerator, at least last year.

Make your request ASAP by calling Disney. Don't wait until you get there.

We are leaving in 9 days for CBR and can't wait!! We did preferred room and asked for Trinidad North. Have never been before so we will see what we think.

I can't respond to all of your questions, having only stayed in Jamaica, but we did have a corner room with 2 windows. I was really happy about that. It looked over the pool area. I suppose you could ask for a corner room on a lower level, with a nice view, although that's a lot of requests! Doesn't hurt to ask, but don't expect to get all of them. Great if you do! I don't know which building is better, you can look at a map and decide what you'd like to be closest too.

There is so much landscaping at CBR that even if you are on the back side of the building you would have a hard time seeing the parking lot.

I think I have stayed in all the preferred buildings and thought they all were great. The walk to Old Port Royale is beautiful.

We have stayed in Martinique 24 and Martinique 26 and liked both locations. I usually ask for a courtyard view and so, far, have gotten the request. However, some people don't like a courtyard view because of people smoking in the courtyards. This hasn't been a problem for us though.

In 2 of our four stays, we have had corner rooms and they had 2 windows in them. It somehow made the rooms seem larger.

Remember when you call to make your requests, to put them in the order in which they are most important to you.

I would call Disney as soon as possible and ask them to place the downstairs request on your reservation. I definitely wouldn't wait until I got there.

Has anyone used online check in for CBR? If so, can you request a specific village when doing so? Thanks!

I used online check-in for our August, 2009 trip and it was nice to skip the long lines. Our check-in took about 5 minutes. There is no place to make requests when you do online check-in but you can call Disney and ask them to add your request(s) to your reservation.

I agree. Even the parking lot views aren't bad at all.

This may be somewhere in this thread, but I can't find it. If anyone has been there recently, can you tell me if there is apple juice with the fountain drinks? I saw on a post somewhere that someone had taken a picture of the fountain drinks and it was an option. Is this an old picture? This would be great since it is my children's favorite drink.

I appreciate the replies......where else in the WORLD could I get the information I need, on a specific resort, specific building, when I need it, from experienced WDW travelers!
This will be our 1st time at CBR, so I am excited & a tad nervous because of the negative things I read.....but there are alot of positive things I read too!

I love the DIS !!

On the whole, you'll read positive and negative on every resort (even the Grand Floridian I'm sure, but sssshhh don't tell them I said that). I wouldn't stress about it. We stayed at CBR for 3 trips, then tried POFQ and we just didn't like it, it wasn't our style, so we are going back home to CBR in August and we couldn't be happier!!!!!

We just got back from our Disney Trip and stayed at POFQ and loved it. So we are thinking of doing a moderate on our trip next summer and would love to get some Pro’s and Con’s about the Pirate rooms at CBR. I think my kids would love it and wonder if it is worth the extra money and the distance it seems to be from everything? We are planning for a late July if that makes any difference?

We loved the pirate rooms! Even dh and I agreed it made the trip seem so much more "Disney-fied"....

I honestly don't "get" all the talk about distance. We found the walk times quite pleasant, and everything is so gorgeous, any time spent walking sped by like crazy! Dh even carried our 6 yr old from the buses to our room at 2am (she was dead to the world, lol) and didn't find it too bad!:confused3 I suppose July might seem a tad worse with the humidity? (we went in April...hot, but no humidity)

The beds were really comfy (we were there only 2 months after they opened them), and storage etc was terrific. Huge drawers, and a giant "trunk" for all our stuff.

Anyhoo....we loved them to the point that all the other Disney resort rooms I've seen pics of don't seem "Disney" enough for us now....it was our first ever trip, and I think we got spoiled! My mom had just a regular Nemo room, and we were all singularly unimpressed...my impression was all it was was wallpaper border and bedspreads, as far as decor.:confused3 That's the only con I can think of!

thanks for the info - we will be in a pirate room in 21 days pirate:

If you do the online registration ahead of time does that eliminate the possibility of an upgrade?

I certainly don't think so. We paid for a standard room last year and we were given an upgrade to Martinique 26 which is a preferred location. I did online check-in for that stay so I don't think it really matters.
