FYI, my travel agent emailed me today (she's there right now & toured CBR today) and she said that all the rooms are complete and that also the rooms she saw have down pillows now. You're probably all estatic about that...but I'm not. My DH is allergic to down. So she has to put a request for no down in our rooms. LOL!

Hi Everyone,

Just got back from my first stay at CBR and I loved it. I went for a "girls trip" for the princess half marathon. I booked a water view and got Aruba 5521. It was fabulous, a ground floor corner room right by the beach and the quiet pool. I am a convert to CBR. This is my first moderate stay and we had a great time thanks to all the great advice from the nice people on this forum.

All the rooms at CBR have separate air conditioners and a ceiling fan.

YAYYY!!! We just paid our remaining balance on our package last night!! This is our first time doing a package, so it feels really good to have a $0 balance before we go!!! (We got a really good AP Rate and we added the Counter Service Dining Plan)
We also put in a request of Jamaica 45 or Aruba 51,second floor. We have looked at TONS of pictures (thanks to Momof2Disneyboys and mickeystoontown) and we really love the colors and the look of Jamaica and Aruba. It seems so "cheerful and sunny"!!
Plus, I know our DS will love walking across the bridge!!! We are so excited!! Vacation can't get here soon enough!!!!

Well after reading this thread I you guys sold me on CBR! I called today and upgraded from Pop. We'll be there May6-13 and the difference was only 300$ ! I paid off the trip while I was on the phone so now I just have to pack... and wait for the next 50 days to pass

I think it depends on the person. For example my DS (10) is more excited about the pirate room than any other part of the trip, so for us yes it is worth it. It is a big part of the trip for him and he says we are going "to be pirates for a week", I think $112 more when your already paying so much is a small amount, but if you really dont care if you have a pirate themed room save your money for something else.

Cheshireqt, I'm in a very similar situation! I'm plannig the trip for my family in June, and it's three rooms, one of which is for my 87 yo grandfather, who used to go to Disney all the time but hasn't been for the past 10 years or so (and who also hasn't acknowledged yet that he's no longer 40 years old!)

We're renting him a scooter for the week, though we'll be using bus transportation so I don't know too much about fitting things in an SUV. If you go to the Disabilities forum, I'm sure they'll be able to give you more info as there are lots of people on there that are experts about the ECV rental companies and what they offer!

I'll let you know when I get back if I discover any useful tips =)

Thanks so much for the response. Have a great visit! From what I have read it looks like Randy's Mobility has scooters that will easily come apart to fit in the trunk of a large car. Of course I am going off of the website advertisement so hope that is true.

I am so excited! We have never stayed at the CBR! Only Pop, and All Stars.
Can I get a package deivered there for me to pick up? If so, I was thinking Tide (cheaper then buying it in the laundry area, downey, and some snacks & water) Can I do this and how long in advance should I mail it out?
We leave May 7th-14th (then cruise the Wonderfor 3 days! Woohoo!)

anyone know if there is apple juice at the drink fountains at the resort? I am planning on getting my almost 8 year old a refillable mug in April as she can sometimes drink more than me and she loves apple juice. I know there is hot chocolate. Any pictures of the soda fountains?

We are going to CBR on 4/13 for a week. My wife and I have been there many times but this will be the first for our 2 1/2 year old boy. We cant wait to show him the magic, there is no better place to be.

We booked a pkg. with a TA. We requested pirate roomsx2 for our family of 5! Requested wheelchair acc. due to our DD16. We also asked if the rooms could be connecting due to the care for our DD. I am paid in full now! I asked the TA if she would follow up on my requests. She called and said the acc. room requested is done. The pirate rooms could not be confirmed??? I called the CBR direct they could not answer my questions??

Any advice???

I know that they had Apple Juice on it at CBR in Dec. 2008, my DD got some every morning that we went over to OPR for Breakfast. I know that they don't at every resort, but they do here.

In case anyone wants to know, they also have Sweet Tea at CBR too!!!!
