Cardpool/Raise good or bad?!

I've read on here about Carpool & Raise and was looking at it to buy some target gift cards & restaurant gift cards for our upcoming trip but I'm a little afraid to use these services. I looked up reviews and a lot of them are bad. Sometimes people buy gift cards & there is no balance on it when they go to use them. Kinda scary... What are your experiences with these sites? And is it secure & what are experiences with these sites good or bad? Anyone get gift cards with a zero balance? And do these sites back up their products & refund you if there is no balance on the card? And what is the turn around on the refund if refunded? TIA ☺

I've used both Raise and Cardpool, and have never had any problems. I mostly buy restaurant gift cards on Cardpool. On Raise, I have purchased Target gift cards, which I then used to buy Disney gift cards on the Target site.

Depending on what you are buying, the discounts can be better on one site vs the other...so check the pricing before you buy.

Raise guarantees your card will have money on it for 60 days. If you have an issue, they can fix it in some way.
