Car rental confusion uscarhire v dollar

Just to add to the confusion on the forum re: best car rental, I'm undecided between uscarhire who are offering a Dollar compact @ £116 (5 days) or Dollar themselves @ £100 (5 days).

Terms and conditions seem to be the same when buying on-line ahead of trip.

It's just that there are so many good reviews of uscarhire here. Is there a catch going with dollar directly? The price through them is obviously better.

I have to say I am a fan of UScarhire (used them last year and have booked with them again this year) but I would just go with Dollar. At the end of the day it is always possible for a company to go bust so I would have thought booking direct with Dollar must lessen that risk (1 company as opposed to 2).

I had a quick look at the dates I was travelling and Dollar was cheaper by a couple of pounds but Uscarhire have a second driver included which I didn't see on the dollar quote. I didn't check the Dollar fully inclusive against Uscarhire Silver inclusive in detail but other than the second driver there wasn't anything else obvious.

I think Dollar must have changed because booking direct used to be expensive whereas now they look like they're competitive.

If you are on the dollar.co.uk site then it is a fully inclusive rate so I would go directly with them if it's cheaper

Going next week for 5 nights. It was a last minute booking a couple of weeks ago. Still havent got the DisneyWorld or Universal tickets, think i'll probably end up getting them at the door. With regards to car hire, looks like i'll go for Dollar direct (checked out floridahomes and they seem to be more expensive).
