Car rental company ?

I havent rented a car in over a decade so any help will be greatly appreciated. I currently have a reservation with 3 different company's - Budget (thru Hawaii car rentals), Hertz and Alamo. Alamo has the best price but I'm also interested in knowing which one is most likely to give me the car I want. I'm renting a luxury car because we will be doing a lot of driving and I wanted something nice. Has anyone had any good/bad experiences with these company's? Hertz was a lot more expensive than the other two - is there a reason behind this? Any help would be great. My trip is for the beginning of June. Thanks

Hertz caters to business travelers and they tend to have good rates for them and not so good lesiure rates. I find AAA to be the best rate with Hertz. I perfer them over the others you listed just because I find the service better.

If you are reserving a luxury you should get what you reserved with any of them. If you are planning on using an "upgrade" coupon who knows?

I agree with Carol A. I love the service I get from Hertz and I rent from them quite frequently.

If you have AAA use them, they give a great discount at Hertz.
