Captain EO?

So my hubby tells me that Captain EO is back at Epcot....is this so?

Seeing as how I'm the one with all the WDW knowledge, I should know this but I hadn't read aything about it.

Fortunately or unfortunately (I'm in the un camp), he's been back for a while.

It's exactly the same except that before you go in to see it, they show a little "Making Of" movie instead of one of those Kodak ones. The "Making Of" part is better than the actual EO.

Yes captian Eo is back and I am totally psyched. I am an absolute MJ fan and went to Disneyland last year just to see this again. I am so excited to take my little girl age 8 to see it for the first time at Epcot as she loves MJ too. I am so glad she will get this experience one time

OMG, that is awesome. I am so excited. I think I was 12 when I first saw it ad my kids are going to love it.

Yes it is.

We saw it in October. My mom was nostalgic, but I don't really remember seeing it the first go round (must have been too little).

Yes it is - my wife and kids love it - we saw in DLR before it went to WDW, now they want to see at EPCOT. My wife is a huge MJ fan.

Really all it is, is a glorified music video with songs and music no one knows. On top of the fact it is Michael, it is DEFINITELY NOT WORTH IT.

We saw it for the first time back in January DH, DS12, and DD5 and myself included really didn't care for it. I agree with PP the making of film before the actual show was the highlight! You should still try it especially in the summer when you're hot and could use an airconditioned seat for a few minutes, then it's a WONDERFUL SHOW!

EO is the temporary replacement for HISTA,nobody knows for sure if they will bring back HISTA or if they will bring it back for a short run before a permanent replacement is put in.I don't like HISTA,but EO is probably worse,I'm glad they brought it back for a while but it's just a bit too 80's and cheesy plus the 3-D is just not good and kinda hurts your eyes.I'm glad I saw it as I don't remember for sure if I saw it as a kid but both movies should be permanently retired.

It was nostalgic for me to see it again. I remember when I saw it for the first time in 1986. I did enjoy it then. I still think it was more of a nostalgic reason that I enjoyed it when we saw it on our last two trips, but I was happy they brought it back for a limited run. I am looking forward to something new though.

Ohhh, yeah. It's back. We saw it in February, and were SO excited to relive a piece of our childhood. And then we watched it. I think it actually killed some of my brain cells! LOL! I bet my kids would love it... but I may need to seek therapy if I have to watch it again.

Wow - didn't realize there was so much hate for "EO" out there.

This is the Disney 3D film I grew up with and, all things considered, "Honey I Blew Your Eardrums Out" can go right to H.E. double-hockey sticks. It's even better than I remembered and I only wish Disney wasn't so darn vague about how long they were keeping the good Captain.

I really don't understand why people have negative reactions to Captain EO. Its such a fun experience, plus the pre-film video is so cool. I hope they never take it away again! Realistically, I know they will, but hopefully they don't bring back Honey I Shrunk the Audience. THAT was something to cringe about...
