I want to send my DD and family to WDW. They are a family of 7. I’m hoping to use airline points for their travel down and back, and I’m hoping someone can help me figure out how many points I would need to have. Figuring the cost of RT tickets would be about $2,500 .... how many rewards points would I need to have? Hope someone can help! Thanks.

250,000 points. Just move the decimal point over two places to figure out how many points you need. Another option is opening new cards such as a SW card or two or a Chase Sapphire Preferred card....depending on what airline they would use. That might make more sense than trying to spend $125,000! Join us on the Budget Board....the I love credit cards thread. Tons of great info and helpful people maximizing credit card points.

That is a great idea! I was just on JetBlue and they were talking about their credit card. So if I got one and my husband got one, that should give us each points when we fly beginning with our next flight. I’m going to look into that. Thanks for the suggestion.

Exactly! The easiest way to get a bunch of points quick is all of the signup bonuses.

I think I heard them say , “if you sign up while on board, that flight would count toward points.” Does anyone have any knowledge of that? We will be flying home next Wednesday. I suppose I could call JetBlue and ask them. I think the actual credit card is through Barclays.

I don't know much about JetBlue or their program. Look into what the sign up bonus is worth.
