Did you all know that the traditional candy canes don't reach their "peak" flavor until they're at least 2 years old?
I was watching a special on tv a couple of years ago - one of the largest candy cane manufacturers in the country - and the owner suggested that people should buy their candy canes during the Christmas season, but then store them in the freezer for 2 years before using them if they want the maximum flavor.. I thought that was pretty darn interesting!
So after Christmas, get out there and buy all the reduced candy canes you can find and just pop them in your freezer!
