Yay for being able to go to the DISmeet! I was excited to see news about that and was actually thinking of driving up for the day/weekend. But alas, I will be on a plane to Pennsylvania that day to visit Mom. I will get back to Nashville to visit someday! Jim mentioned something about a Star Trek convention up there but I think he was joking.

Okay, so the phrase "Happy, Happy, Happy" is actually from the show Duck Dynasty. We LOVE that show...just a bunch of rednecks with lots of money.

Aw, Bagelnana...I wish you could make it to the "hippo meet" at the RFC! But yeah...Mom is more important I guess.

Thank you! Right now they are older cuties...with attitudes. But, thankfully they still have a sweet side and they are very respectful overall.

We LOVE our new mattress! Part of the purchase was that we get a set of pillows and a mattress cover for free. We had to mail in a sort of rebate form to get these...and we cannot wait to get the pillows. We love our bed and hate our pillows now!

My kids are very excited to get to build the MU treasure chest. We will all have to post pictures of our children's finished work!

Thanks, D~! You know, you are the one who gave me the idea, right? I too love to see the old pictures of your girls and your fanny pack! While I don't think I was ever a fanny pack user, I am sure my mom has some old Disney photos with me rocking the 80's clothes and hairstyles...

So, I feel like I am being tortured by Disney today...

We have a graduate assistant that works in our office. Today he and I got into a random conversation and he proceeds to tell me that he is going to Disney in December with his girlfriend and her family. They are Disney crazy like the rest of us, and they are DVC owners. I had to keep myself from going on and on and on and on about Disney. I could tell he was a little taken back by my enthusiasm, though.

Then, after he walked out of my office I went on FB... and lo and behold my cousin who lives in Celebration is posting pictures of her and her daughters just hanging out at Splitsville, having a grand time.

I MISS DISNEY!!!!!! I really am excited about going to other places this fall...but I still miss my favorite place.

So, let's see... this summer has turned out to be quite a busy one so far. Our kids have spent lots of time at my parents' house in MS, they went to VBS for a week with Brian's parents, I am headed to Louisville, KY this weekend for a little reunion with my BFF from hig school whom I haven't seen in over 20 years, finally got my first bag from SerendipiD~ in the mail last night...

WHAT?!? What did I just say??? I got my first SerendipiD~ bag in the mail last night!!!! Wanna see it? You do? Are you sure?

Wellllllll, I am going to torture you for a bit. Thought I would show some other pictures first. Yes, I am evil.

We also got a little bit of magical mail Monday evening. One of our Disfriends who is on a special FB group I am a member of sent some cute shirts to Charity that she had outgrown... here is just one of them, Charity has not worn the other yet.

Well, I guess that is it for now... HUH? What? OH YEAH!!! the SerendipiD~ bag!!!!

I want to give a bit of a back story first, if you will indulge me...but of course you will, this is MY ptr. So, D~ and I have been Disfriends since 2011. She was in the group with my very first Dismeet. I have watched her make these gorgeous bags for two years now. I have looked at pictures of other Disfriends sporting these gorgeous bags...and I have had bag envy. I just thought I would never be able to afford one. Last Christmas, my co-workers gifted me with enough $$$ to FINALLY be able to order one. D~ was kind enough to go ahead and put me on her summer/fall waiting list. So, I have been waiting about seven months for the bag to be made.

I had given D~ three theme choices, and complete creative freedom beyond that. She could pick which theme and do with it whatever she wanted. Two weeks ago D~ informed me that it was my turn!!!! Last night I got it in the mail...she had chosen Wishes as the theme for my bag....

BUT, we all know D~...she went so far above and beyond what I could have imagined. I had imagined a silhouette of the castle on a dark background with fireworks all around it...but D~ created a masterpiece...is anyone surprised?She created our very own family version of the Magic, Memories, and You show with Wishes going on around it!!!

I want to make this a little game for you, just as we had at home when the bag arrived. Can you find these representations on the castle:

Thank you Connie... YOur pictures make it look way better than mine do... I haven't posted it in my PTR or on FB yet, because I didn't want anyone to think it was an auction bag...

I do have to say - that I almost had tears in my eyes while making it... My whole goal for this bag was to give it MEANING - not just a bag, but a bag that told a story. It was such a gamble... I knew you would either LOVE it or HATE it - there would be no in between. I have been around Connie enough to know that God and Family are most important to all of them... I just hoped that when she saw "her" castle - she would see each and every family member in it... It just really meant a lot to be able to make this bag for her... So, many hugs to all of you and your family... You are all such wonderful people. :hugs:

I also have to say that I had some help - I don't plan on revealing who my helper is (just yet) - but you do know her, she is a Diser, she does post in your TR, and she has an amazing visual eye & really helped me get the towers to be "just right" - as I had to cut them out several times to get them the way I wanted them.

Anyways... Thanks for the call last night, and thanks for loving the bag... That means so much to me - it truly does. (((Hugs)))
