Can't We Just Travel by Map? Oct 2013 PTR

Wonderful movie night as always! I love all of the food and such creativity with super hero ME. I really need to pull out the Incredibles and watch it again. I don't think I've seen it since it was in the theater.

Another great movie night! The sandwiches looked super yummy. :thumbsup2 Looking forward to your next movie night. On a side note, did you cut your hair? Or, maybe I'm just delusional with the last weeks of school upon me. My middle school students are driving my nuts. :crazy2: Anyway, it looks cute.

LOVE everything! Love everyone's hero ideas! Especially Charity's... I believe a visit to my house is in order. LOL I would love to be beautified!

And - NUM - those sundaes look marvelous!

Thanks for sharing, and I cannot wait to see what your next movie night is.

D~

Yes, as you can see from my own picture...I am in need of some of Charity's super powers as well! :crazy2: :rotfl2:

We just remembered to draw for the next movie night this morning... :hourglass

We really like the Incredibles. My favorite line... "um, Mrs. Carr, Jack Jack has some really special needs..." :lmao:

Everything looks GREAT as usual!!!
Hope you had a wonderful Mother's day!!!

Thanks Mo. Mother's Day was good. My hubby and kids made a really yummy breakfast of Ham and Cheese Omelettes, Bacon, Toast, and Coffee for me and gave me lots of cards and homemade gifts. It was GREAT! :goodvibes

Those sandwiches were DELICIOUS! I toasted the hoagie rolls then topped them with hard salami, pepperoni, and provolone cheese. Then I broiled them, open faced. Finally adding some sub sandwich dressing to them before closing them up. They were SO GOOD!!!

We just remembered to draw for the next movie night this morning after breakfast... This is one I have really been looking forward to for basically one reason...the FOOD! :rotfl2: But, of course you will have to wait to see what it is... :ssst:

So, I know you all have been on the edge of your seats with all the "will they go or won't they go" drama that this PTR has turned into... :scared: :crazy2: Thought I would give yet ANOTHER update to the continuing saga.

Our two younger children go to a private school. It is a school that started as a daycare...and it happened to have been started by myself and MIL. Jillian was two years old when it opened in 2002. Charity was born just after it opened. Gabe went there since he was six weeks old. It grew to become a school...still run by my MIL and FIL. We chose to place Jillian in public school in 7th grade and had planned to do that with Gabe and Charity as well.

As we have struggled financially it has been hard to write those monthly checks for private school, but we continued to do it. It was mostly sentimentality that kept us there. Last week we got a letter saying the school would be closing as of the end of this academic year. This was heartbreaking to the kids. Brian and I...not so much.

What does this have to do with Disney? Starting this month, our bank account will become bigger to the tune of $720 a month!!! :cool1: While we still want to be very responsible with this and get some things paid off, we WILL be able to get some park tickets for our trip in October. How many days is yet to be determined, but I am so excited to every little bit of pixie dust I can have land on us! pixiedust:

It has been a bumpy ride...but thanks for sticking with this wild and crazy PTR! I will keep you updated as purchases and plans occur... :surfweb:

***Reading back over this post, I felt I should follow up with this: Gabe and Charity have had a week to process through all of this, and they are both VERY excited about their new school now. :thumbsup2

I am so sorry about the school - I k now it's hard for kids to switch.

On the plus side - I know it has been very agonizing for you to have your trip in jeopardy... But you have NO IDEA how very happy I am for you that you get to have more Disney magic on your Florida trip. :lovestruc

Glad to see you back here you've been missed!!! :grouphug:

D~ <--- who wants to know what the next movie night is. :coffee:
Ummm Yeah... inquiring minds NEED TO KNOW here!!!! :mic:

Shall we make a little game of it? I will give hints and you all can discuss...

Movie Night Hint #1: The menu is inspired by a WDW resort restaurant.

I am guessing the movie is Lilo and Stitch... Ohana. :)

D~

Such good news! Well maybe not quite for the kids but I'm sure they will adjust to a new school. I'm so happy for you!

I can't think of any other restaurant than O'Hana so I guess I will say Lilo and Stitch like the two above me!

Good guess Ladies, but I didn't want to make it THAT easy...wanted it to be fun! :thumbsup2

Movie Night hint #2: The movie was made after a MK attraction.

Pirates?? Though I'm not sure what resort restuarant that could be from...

My only other thought would be Cinderella... 1900 Park Fare... but Cinderella the movie came before Cinderella the Castle...

Totally stumped.

REAL trip plans are FINALLY taking place for us!!!! :cool1: Saturday Brian was finally in a great mood and ready to make some plans. We did some research, and gave the kids two options for park plans. Brian and I decided that we would NOT visit one of the four WDW parks this time. We both just feel like one day in our favorite place does not do it justice. So we explored a few other options. BUT.... we are visiting one place that IS Disney related...

So, without further ado...our October park destinations:

Sea World and Blizzard Beach!!!!!! :jumping1:

To celebrate finally having plans, the kids made a vacation countdown chain:
