Can't get through to Disney on phone for July 21 stay at closed resort. Will they cancel my reservation?

As that information is nowhere to be found on WDW’s landing page or their official Disney Parks Blog, I’m starting to see why more and more people are giving up on Disney entirely and opting to book Universal stays instead. What a mess. Hoping there’s lots of pixie dust to go around for all of the guests who are stuck in the middle of this.

Modifications, Cancellations and Refunds

We understand how much excitement, thought and time goes into planning your visits to Walt Disney World Resort. Please know we will be here to help you, as our Cast remains focused on delivering magical experiences and incredible storytelling for everyone who visits.

During this unprecedented period, some of our policies and offerings have been modified:

Rooms and Packages
At this time, we are temporarily pausing Disney Resort hotel reservations so we can focus on Guests with existing reservations (Disney Vacation Club Members can still make new reservations). We will resume new hotel reservations after that period of time.
Guests with reservations for travel through July 10 may request immediate assistance with modifying their plans for dates in 2020. Those currently traveling July 11 - December 31, 2020 may request assistance beginning Monday, June 22. Modifications into 2021 can be made beginning June 24.
To provide additional flexibility, we are waiving Disney-imposed change and cancellation fees up to the date of check-in for reservations with arrivals through October 3, 2020. If Guests need further assistance, they can reach us at the Disney Reservation Center through our online chat feature or by calling our reservation line.
If no action is taken for impacted stays, Disney will automatically cancel your reservation within 7 days of the original check-in date and process any refund due to the original form of payment. Please note that cancellation fees imposed by third-party suppliers, including airlines and rental cars, as well as non-refundable products like travel protection plans, are deducted from refundable amounts for Walt Disney Travel Company packages.
If you did not book through Disney directly, please contact your travel professional.

Disney Vacation Club Reservations
If you booked through Disney Vacation Club, please visit disneyvacationclub.com or call Member Services at (800) 800-9800 for information and assistance with your reservation.

Group Reservations
If you’re coming to Walt Disney World Resort as part of a meeting, convention, youth program, wedding or other group or celebration, and you have questions about your plans during the closure period, please consult with the organizer of your group or event.

I‘m in the same boat and feeling really uneasy. Our stay Is 7/21-7/31. We booked CBR specifically for the 5th bed and skyliner, which doesn‘t open until 2 days before we would check out. Also purchased hoppers with wp added. Obviously not happening. So as it stands, we have no specified resort and have overpaid for tickets. Disney hasn't been good at sending any sort of updates other that asking for final payment twice, which I have not done. I want to know what Im paying for. We haven’t even booked airfare yet! A CM on chat advised me to to hold out a little longer to see what happens. We would be happy to upgrade for free if its offered, but will cancel if asked to pay or they want to send us over to POP. Nothing wrong with it, but we need more room. I know there’s a lot going on, but I’m really disappointed in the lack of info being sent to confirmed resort guests who are going to be significantly impacted.

BTW, it took me 8 hours to get thru today for park resv. Started at 7am. Was at work and using my iPhone. Didn‘t have any luck until I got on a real computer.
I would call. ASAP.

As I mentioned, it’s not on the landing page. In fact, it takes three clicks to get there, and that’s IF you know exactly where to click... many other clickable links that logically seem like they would/should provide this information don’t lead to it at all. Again, a mess. There’s conflicting information everywhere, including in official information releases from Disney, so it’s no wonder guests don’t know what to do and are feeling frustrated and abandoned by Disney. 😕
