Because he's not bright enough to know a scam himself when he sees it? He got taken in by a clearly bad timeshare presentation "deal," with all the extra expenses totaling up to more than the rest of our vacations, and after the thread where everyone TOLD him it wasn't a deal, he's too proud to not take his trip even if it means alienating his family, selling off assets, and generally being miserable in the interim. Someone with a clue has learned to "cut their losses" already. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if his "stock" were another "deal" he got into and now, for pride again, feels the need to drag others into.
