Sweetheart, you've got to start charging the pool boy rent for his apartment in the pool house. I don't care how good he looks in his Speedo when he's cleaning the pool! These are tough times and Kitty needs her bling. :rotfl:

Whoa, whoa, whoa...let's not act too hastily. Kitty may need her bling, but mama still needs her eye candy. There's got to be another way. Pool boy is off the bargaining table. popcorn::popcorn::popcorn::popcorn::

The pool boy wasnt even an option. Will never let him go! EVER!!!!!!:lovestruc

LOL have to agree with the absurdity........

Here's a reality check.... Last night I went and picked up a dog that needs rescue. The family has 2 little girls. AS they were hugging and kissing the dog goodbye, i realized they made the ultimate sacrifice. The mom sacrificed the dog for children's food! After she admitted to selling her plasma for the last bag of dog food and bread. Can you imagine being that poor? My heart goes out to her. (little does she know but xmas WILL be ok this year)

You are very thoughtful and kind hearted. God Bless you! :littleangel: I too can not stand to see children go without especially when you can see the parent is trying to do everything in their power to keep it together.

Not to hijack the thread but I have a similiar problem. See I need desperately to buy a diamond encrusted Tiara for my cat. Its going to cost $45,000 and I am thinking if I cut back on my private limo rides to the grocery store I might be able to raise the money in about two weeks. Anyone else have other saving ideas?? FYI I have already cut down my staff of 10 to 8....I let go of two of the gardeners, I still have three. :rotfl:

You may be able to save some money by avoiding the grocery store all together--you'd save on the limo driver, the gas and of course your own "seen in public clothing"--have your groceries delivered or make one of your staff use public transportation to obtain them for you. With the weather turning you can surely spare an additional gardener. As the PP said just having last year's tiara reset will save you a bundle!

Oh, my! That is so sad! Makes you really count your blessings! Dh and I were just having a uhmmmmmm "discussion" last night that really came from shortage of money and his needing another job. This makes me see that I should just feel blessed that he still has a job (at least for a bit longer). It also makes trying to tell someone how to get $3000 to get to Disney seem a bit absurd!

absurd? This is a disney budget forum and ways to save money to get to Disney, I am trying to round up a little cash and not dip into savings and anything else. This is about being frugal not wether or not someone has a job or not. I am here picking peoples brains and to help other people with the same situation. I have recieve some good info especially the cheaper ticket site posted. And looking at different ways to travel to save money. If you call that absurd, then you do have your opinion, and you are a negative poster, not cool in my book. I try to help other people with question not point out things you would call absurd.

$3000 in 5 months, is $600 / month or about $150 extra a week.... for 5 months.

The only absolute way you could make this in such a short time, would be to get another job.

Get a serving job a few nights a week. A good weekend night could bring in your $150.

Good luck to you. It's gonna be kinda rough. I (personally) would wait. I like to spend money like water, when I'm on vacation, and the thought of 'sticking to a budget' and worry about every penny would ruin it for me.

I feel ya on this one, I can't say no to my kids and I get a little saucey when I'm on vacation, nothing more depressing if you see a good restaurant and you have to walk away.

People are confused. On this thread you touted the merits of the trip, and many posters warned you that it was a scam. http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2112730

I questioned how on earth you would ever find $200 round trip airfare from Canada to MCO, which is frankly impossible. Someone else pointed out another thread from you awhile back about the same vacation package. You post about picking up pop cans from the side of the road, which I find admirable in a country where recycling is not the norm apparently, but then you seem to scoff at garage sales?

Then you post on another possible scam thread that you may have had a bad experience. http://disboards.com/showthread.php?p=33200484#post33200484

Then you post about a 'money saving trick' to pull out foreign currency and pretend that you have nothing else, to get into places for no charge. http://disboards.com/showthread.php?p=31775253#post31775253

I am not in the habit of digging out old posts, but frankly many of us were originally concerned that you were being scammed months ago, and we took the time to research and post advice for you then and now.

I feel like we are the ones being scammed, and I suspect that a few others may feel that way - even the moderator seems to have joined into the 'fun' on this thread.

Perhaps an honest account is in order, as so many people did take the time to try and help.

What does this post have to do with saving for disney? Please stay on topic or if you want to tell jokes if that was one you are in the wrong thread.

:confused3 What kind of a neighborhood do you live in? I've seen garage sales in all kinds of neighborhoods from those with $70,000 homes to those with $1,000,000+ homes.

The houses range from $850,000 to $2,200,000. And no garage sales around here.

Actually, with all the "I got scammed" threads I've read here, I wouldn't put it past someone looking to make some "quick" money to take the OP's advice. Thanks for clarifying the advertising policy, but how does anyone know the OP isn't a majority stockholder?

I don't own have of Vegas now thats absurd. I'm just trying to make a little extra coin.

Well, if you're going to shoot down every suggestion, then I'm done with you. Tell Kitty to wear Diamonique from QVC and be happy to have them.

Anyone got a QVC coupon for WDWHo?

Interesting. I see garage sales in neighborhoods in that range often.

Is English not your native language, by any chance?

Yes, I am an ESL poster. Thank you for asking. :)

(edited! Whoops! you did not mean me perhaps? But I stand by my answer)
