Canon 70D sounds awesome

I guess its great if you're buying the camera for video. For still photography it gives no advantage. I've only recorded about 30 minutes of video in the past 2 years. I haven't even touched my video camera in a long time.

Using an effective live view on the Sony A55 -- once live view is a true option, I use it at least as often as I use the EVF. There are times I don't want to hold the camera at eye level, and I don't want to crouch down.

Or tonight for example, taking fireworks shots on a tripod.... Composing the shot on the LCD was much easier than using the EVF.

I use both on the Nex 6 equally also, but its not very large and awkward like waist level shooting with a clunky dslr with the screen swung out to the side and tilted. The mirrorless cameras are way more discrete.

What's the flash situation on mirror less? They have externals as good as the speedlites?

I know I know, google is my friend but I thought some real life info would be cool. :)

Current mirrorless camera like the Nex 6/7, OMD and others have a standard hot shoe for speedlights. Sony has speedlights but I use a Yongnuo manual flash on my Nex 6. I have a Sigma 610 super for my K-5II that I also use on my Nex.

The answer is yes, there are hotshoes on mirrorless cameras.

Professional photographers like Trey Ratcliff and Zack Arias have already made the switch to mirrorless. Trey swapped a D800 for a Nex 7 and Zack is shooting with Fuji's. Zack Arias is a master at flash photography.

Somewhat lighter weight (I don't think I'd want a camera that is light as a feather, at least not while I'm actually using it) and losing the mirror (as long as they replace it with a live EVF of equivalent performance) would be fine, but you guys can keep the "smaller." I like the size of my DSLRs.
