Cancelled HIFS Res 12/9-19 $71 rate

Just cancelled our reservations for the Holiday Inn Family Suites at the Buy One Get One Night free rate. The regular rate was $142 a night, so each night's rate ended up being $71 plus tax. We had a Kidsuite reserved. If anyone was trying to get a room for those dates and was unable to get that great rate for those dates, try calling them again.

We were unable to find plane tickets affordable enough to make the trip and decided not to drive. So hopefully our loss can be someone else's gain!

Sorry to hear you had to cancel your trip...You must live in the northern part of the country.

Airfare from Mn is very expensive, too. I just bought airfaire this week for our Jan 2 trip and it was pretty high. Got a bit of a discount using cash//miles with NW.

Keeping checking airfare and maybe you can make it down next year!

Thanks. I actually live in Texas and airfare still regularly hovers around $200. But I was looking for something "bargain basement"...under $120 or so, which I have seen from time to time. We have to buy 3 tickets and even at $200 each that wouldn't be so bad under ordinary circumstances. But my husband has been between jobs for several months now. We were planning a "big trip" before my oldest son starts kindergarten this fall. We have another tentative trip scheduled for mid-Feb/early Mar of 2003 with my parents and siblings. My father qualifies for SOG rates at the Contemporary and is very generous about footing the bill. (and maybe the park tickets).
