Canadian Buffoon's Solo Disney Vacation - Update 07/08! pp99 - Here today gone tomorrow

Hi Danielle!! :wave2: So nice to see you!
I've seen your posts on other TRs that I follow,
so I'm glad you decided to stop by.

And you're not late, you're right on time.
The contest has barely started and there's plenty of time to join in.
(Although if you post that you think I went to Nemo... well, it's not gonna get you too many points.)

Welcome! :goodvibes

Ooohhh.... So sorry to hear that.
Will some glue help?
Or do you need something a little more durable.
I think I might have a couple of loose screws around here somewhere...

Hahaha, yeah, I'm around sometimes. ;) Good thing I didn't chose to answer Nemo. I figured it might have been too obvious, and may have resulted in negative points.

I have a lot of loose screws at my house, I think I can go fix myself. Thanks for the offer though!

Oh... you said ADR. I guess I missed that the first time around. Hmm... what is left. I'm already committed to MK at this point. Surely you didn't go to Tonys. So Liberty Tree Tavern. I know it is wrong but hey, gotta try.

Danielle gets around!
She said it! I didn't!

You never know what might've happened if you'd said Nemo.... I said no points....

I'm so glad you'll be able to fix yourself on your own.

I, however, am beyond repair... or hope.

Actually, I didn't even notice when you said Pecos Bill... of course there's no ADRs there!
I didn't even clue in!

Hey look Andy! We're both losers!!

(To add to the growing list of extremely obvious facts...)
Plus, you know it's wrong? Cheated, didja?
Again, no rules against posting the same guess more than once.

Hi Pkondz
Greetings from across the big pond My guess would be Coral reef restaurant at EPCOT.
I have been following since the start. But like yourself work sometimes gets in the way of the old recreational time keeping you of the net sometimes.

Hi Pkondz
Greetings from across the big pond

Hey Mac! :wave2:
I was just thinking of you.
Got a new reader the other day (Claire from Berkshire) from across the pond and wondered if you were still around.

Anyway, welcome to the TR!

My guess would be Coral reef restaurant at EPCOT.

Noted. Results forthcoming in a future post.

Oh, no. I'm not like that anymore.
Now I use work for my DIS time.
Several times I've had managers come up and tell me to stop goofing off and get back to work.
I just tell them this is more important.

Hmmmm...... I forsee a time in the near future where I won't have to worry about DISing while at work...

OH my gosh, you crack me up! Can't wait to keep reading. :)

Not you too????
Geez, I've already cracked up Danielle (IheartDDuck) and now you.

I'm gonna make a killing on the glue market.

Excellent.

Hey! Another Canuck! Welcome to the TR! :wave2:
If you don't mind my asking, whereabouts in Ontario are you?
If you don't want to say, no probs, just ignore me... most people do. :rolleyes1

But one thing that I'm really curious about is your username, please share why you picked that.
It sounds like it'd be an interesting story.

Again, if you don't want to..... no probs, you're still more than welcome here! :goodvibes

Excellent guess! I have no idea how you figured out I was going to go to <insert park> and eat at <insert restaurant>.
I'm hoping it's because you cheated! ::yes::

I'm in the great Forest City, London. Home of the "lovely" multi-coloured metal trees. Also more widely known as that place that is halfway between Toronto and Detroit.

Nope not that interesting. I started dancing... what? oh ballet, tap, and jazz since you asked so nicely... Anyway I started when I was 4 and have loved it all my life. I might have chosen to do that as a career if, you know, I'd been any good at it. But since I'm not I just do it for fun. I love it so much I just figured I'd dance forever (in some form or another) and so the name... see really not that interesting.

I love your guess. I wish I had thought of that. :worship:

I've been there... briefly. Bit of an odd story.

When Elle, my eldest DD was turning 5, I took her on a road trip to see her Aunt in Toronto.
Years later, I repeated the trip with my youngest DD, Kay.
Except that DW, Ruby, wanted to tag along for part of it and see Chicago
and go to the Mall of America in Minneapolis.
So after Kay and I went to Toronto,
on the way back we stopped in London where Ruby and Elle flew in and we picked them up.

So I've seen your airport... and that's about it.

Au contraire!
I thought it was very interesting because it parallels Elle.
She started dancing when she was two (Tutus for twos) and is still doing it,
although not as much as in the past few years.
She's done ballet, jazz, a bit of tap, pointe, modern, contemporary and lyrical.
And now she's starting to get into acro.

My last TR (Teenage Mutant Backseat Dancers) was all about our trip to Niagara Falls
so she could compete in a dance competition there.

My DSis has also danced all her life starting in ballet when she was, oh, I'm guessing here...
about 5 or so?

Speaking of dancing...I've been meaning to tell you this for months. Back in September we were at a ComicCon in the suburbs of Pittsburgh. So since we were so close I drove over to the Dance Moms studios. Unfortunately I went on a Friday and they were closed! :guilty: I did peer in the doors and took some pics of the building. I would have liked to go in and buy a t-shirt. Although just seeing the building that I see on TV was pretty cool. So I bought a Clint Howard autograph instead. He's the voice of Roo.

And speaking of ComicCons,,,,,we're going to one this weekend in Indianapolis. Carrie Fisher is going to be there. But at $75 I won't be getting an autograph or picture. Anyhoo.....I may not be on the DIS for awhile. C U later gater.

The ComicCon in Indy is close to my house. I saw the billboards promoting Carrie Fisher being there. How does she look nowadays? Old? They used the pic from the original Star Wars on the billboard. I saw Mark Hamill in "Kingsmen" over the weekend. He looked old. Am I getting old, too? I'd like to think I'm getting better looking....:cool2:

I don't watch Dance Moms. I've seen a couple of shows, but...
I live it. I don't need to watch it.

I'll take the Clint Howard autograph over watching Dance Moms... and I don't collect autographs.

$75???? For an autograph?????
That is insane!
Yeah. No. Not interested, thanks.

But have fun at the rest of the Comic Con.
In a while crocodile.

Uh, oh. There's going to be a lot of disappointed young men...

Am I getting old, too? I'd like to think I'm getting better looking....:cool2:

I've only seen you once, but you looked pretty cute to me.

Yeah, she looks really rough. Not good looking at all anymore.
Jenna Coleman, currently on Doctor Who, is going to be there too but to see her is $50. DH really likes her but not that much! She's going to do a Q&A that I'm going to try to watch if it's not too packed.
They're showing The Neverending Story movie too which I've never seen so I might try go see that.
I didn't know you lived close to Indianapolis. It's probably too late to plan a meet?
We'll have the laptop just not sure about Wifi. And last time DH forgot the charger for it.
DUH! :headache:

I actually read that one. I joined a little late so I just lurked but I was pretty impressed at your ability to keep me entertained without ever stepping into Disney. As you might be able to tell I've been living vicariously through others for a while now so generally I only read TRs that actually contain Disney World, but your writing was so good that I was hooked.

Gee, that's really nice of you to say.

I don't ever mind when someone pays me such nice compliments! :goodvibes

And I see from your siggie, that it's been awhile.
I know just how you feel about living vicariously through others.
I can still hardly believe that I was able to get a trip in!

I'm not sure we have time to schedule a meet, but I sent you a pm. (Assuming that I can figure out how to do that...)

I got a point for a mostly wrong answer? EXCELLENT! I like your Ponzi Rules!

I should have gone with my gut instinct. I knew you were near Nemo... We've never seen that show. I don't have a ton of patience for shows, and even less for AK as a whole for some reason. It's always so darn HOT there! FoLK always wins if we see a show.

I just found out that there were park to park buses on our last trip. After I made plans to get around otherwise since it's never been an option before... I should really find a website where I can get the most up-to-date WDW information!

I am shocked that you even considered sharing the Domes! You obviously have more self-control than I. I'm thinking I need on of those chocolate/PB cupcakes now that Andy mentions it. Time for me to start a list! (don't tell Roni)

Okay, I have picked up a hint since you said you ate a lot. This makes me think buffet or prix fixe meal. My instinct was MK and BoG but I think you would have had a hard time getting that ressie, and I don't think of BoG as an "over eating" type place. I think you'd want to see it though. This is so hard!!!!

My official guess is Epcot and Biergarten. My unofficial guess is MK/BoG. I'm angling for all of those bonus/pity points ;)

Woohoo!!! I have a point! I see you're a guy who likes to play by his own rules... I like that... especially when it benefits me!

Glad you finally saw Nemo! It's a great show, though I've only seen it once myself. But, did you learn nothing from your experience!? Fish are friends, not food! Lay off the drooling over Marlin, will ya?! ;)

YUM! Zebra domes! Okay, I confess I've never actually had the splendor of a zebra dome in my mouth... however, by all accounts here on the Dis they are nothing short of pure heaven. So I'm gonna guess I'd love them. :thumbsup2

How did you know I wanted a picture reference of the men's room!? THANK YOU! Actually... on a side note, I made a co-worker of mine (male) take a picture of a urinal at the museum I work in. Apparently this was a very fancy urinal and confused some of our guests as being an actual toilet. Needless to say after an "incident" or two of it not being used as just a urinal... it was replaced. Prior to its replacement, I HAD to know what this urinal looked like! So it's not the first men's bathroom picture I've ever seen! :rotfl:

Hmm... shot in the dark on your ADR but I'm going for Sci-Fi! :confused3
