This was our second day in Vancouver, and when I planned the trip I didn't really know what we were going to do here for 2 days as there were no mega tourist attractions like say the CN Tower or Lake Louise.
I realised the entire city for me anyway was just the attraction. So up again, breakfast again, and out , north to Canada Place which was about 4 minutes walk. We picked up the trolley bus again, to do more of the west area and Granville Island, which is like a Canadian Covent Garden type thing, but again it was brilliant.
Outside there was a jazz festival, so after looking around the markets we got a drink and pecan pie, sat down and listened to the music admiring the view back to the downtown peninsula.
After that we got the small ferry back to the peninsula, and back on the trolley bus.
We toured the rest of the neighbourhoods, Yale Town, Gas Town and China Town, and eventually we were back at English Bay, as I waned Fish and Chips by the sea. ! We also had another ice cream just for good measure !
Then we wandered back to the hotel via the shopping areas, and then back up to Canada Place where we looked at the cruise ships that had docked overnight, and looked at the giant Lego Orca that was built for the Olympics.
These were the 2 best days for me so far. I really loved Vancouver, you might have guessed that by now. There was something about it that just hit home, and the first day there was one of the best of my life. I will let the pictures take over from my rambling!
Back to the hotel, and packed, tomorrow we were off to Victoria and the last leg.
