I keep reading that it is a pain to take the buses to the water parks now. So has anyone used Uber or taken a taxi??? Thanks!!

Uber/Lyft/Taxi would be a great choice for getting to/from a water park. The cost won't be much and it will save you a lot of time.

We just got back (4/1-4/8). Transportation from BWV to TL was ridiculous. We took a bus to DS, after passing the entrance to TL, then walked to Bus Stop 24 to take a bus to TL. We took a taxi on the way back. There are 6 of us, the taxi/van was $10 plus tip. I probably would have paid double!

On the way back, I'm sure your driver would appreciate everyone being totally dry before calling for a car. No one wants wet car seats.

Yep! We did this last year. Cost $8 each way to/from GF to Typhoon Lagoon. About $12 to Blizzard Beach. I would do it again. Both cars on the way back to the resort had leather seats so being damp wasn't an issue.

Regardless, I think being wet in a driver's car (outside of getting caught in the rain) is pretty rude.

The Uber drivers know they are picking up potentially wet people when they accept a pickup at the water parks. If they don't want to pick up guests at the water parks, they don't accept the fare. It's not rude.

Even before the changes in transportation it took us an hour and a half from our door at GF to TL years ago. And then one year my sister's family waited over an hour for a bus to show up at all.

A $10 fare is soooo worth it!! I've been Ubering back and forth to TL or BB since Uber got to Orlando. The only problem I've had is they show up so fast! I've requested a car as we step out of the room and they are there before we get to the hotel lobby.

Or they could assume that people will be courteous and not ruin their car. Either/or.

By the time you get out of the water, go to your chair area, dry off as best you can, and walk to the front of the park you are pretty dry. The taxi we used had "leather" seats. Honestly, being completely dry is not a concern for me when getting in a cab, Uber, bus or my own car.

What is your issue? No one will ruin a car by sitting in it with a slightly damp swimsuit. Stop being so dramatic. I was assured by the drivers that it was fine that we were a bit damp. We sat on towels. Calm down.

You can live your life your way, and I will live mine my way. Thanks.

Absolutely correct. That has been our experience as well and we have done it dozens of times.

I sm sure that it is possible for someone to be a complete Yahoo and run directly from the lazy river, not using a towel, not putting a cover up on, sprinting through the park and through the gates then diving into a car soaking wet and getting a wet butt on a car seat. Would be interesting to watch but why do it?

UBer drivers and taxi drivers PU passengers in the rain every day. This is a non-issue.

What would be a tip for $10 fare? I haven't been in a taxi/uber etc. in about 30 years. I have no idea.

I only tip 2-3 dollars. Around 20%. I don't think the ride from the Epcot resorts even hit $10.
