Can you tell me why.... according to touringplans.com I will be attending WDW in NOV, the crowd levels at the parks are estimated to be at a 1-3 ( out of 10) for our entire stay, SO why am I having such a hard time getting any of the ADR's that we want?

Thanks for the replies

Best guess is free dining. I didn't check the dates to confirm, but it seems reasonable. Most people who frequest DISboards and other sites make their ADRs 180 days out. Many people who visit WDW for free dining don't necessarily spend a lot of time in the parks, so park attendance levels may be estimated lower.

Make some back-up ADRs, but it's likely some ADRs will cancel, so keep checking!

Free dining is going on thru the end of year and parts of next year.It makes getting adrs alot harder.Park crowds are not huge, but the restaurants are packed.

I've found since online dining reservations became an option, people are more apt to make 2-4 reservations for a meal, then they don't cancel. YMMV.

Yea I also see this happening, and I think it is not fair. The website should limit ADR's per day IMHO, but then again who am I to say.

From what I understand those crowd level things are based on wait times for rides, not popularity of restaurants. Free dining during that time will obviously create more demand for restaurants, but not necessarily longer lines in the parks.

I think pp is right it's because of the free dining. The crowds are the same but more people are eating in the table service restaurants. I'm one of them as we have probably only eaten table service twice in the 6 times we've been to WDW in my life, but because we have the free dining we are doing 8 days of TS meals.

I'm with others - Free Dining and also people hoarding reservations because they don't know what park they will be in. Honestly, while I understand allowing people to make reservations this way is convenient, I'd really love to see them enforce the one ressie per meal option somehow, but how would you have any way of knowing if someone set up two accounts, right?!
