Can you add DCL Ground Transfers later?

We are booking our cruises for the next two years, and we are probably going to fly, BUT I don't want to book the ground transfers yet because if things did work out that we could drive, I would rather do that.

Can we add this later?

Also, I am wondering about renting a car and driving ourselves. There will be four of us, so the ground transfer would be $200. Has anyone done this before?

You are able to get Disney Transfers at any time for departure or return from the cruise. The agents are very helpful with this.

If you plan on renting a car. The Cheapest route would be to rent from MCO (Orlando Avis) and return at the Radisson in Port Canaveral. Take the Avis shuttle to the pier and then decide on what and how you want to return. i.e. Disney Transfer, or Avis rental car, from The Radisson Avis, back to MCO. This is what we are doing in a week. We rent a car from the Airport Drop it off at the Radisson (Where we are staying the night befor the cruise) the we will choose our options for the return Disney Transfer or Rental Car we have not yet decided.

We were wanting to come the night before too. I like your 'plan'. But are you able to just take the shuttle one way to the airport? Do you only have to pay 1/2 ($25 instead of $50).

I wouldn't want to pay full price for just one way! But renting a car, and then taking the shuttle back to the airport sounds like a great plan (as long as we don't have to pay $50 each for one day).

Can you 'book' the shuttle on the day you go back too? Or how far in advance do you have to book it?

If I am not mistaken, you can simply "walk up" and pay for the Disney tranfers. It has been a while since we've taken them, but if my memory is correct I have seen people pay at the airport and also at the port. If you want to arrange it in advance, I'm sure that the port people or Guest Services on the ship could help you.

Yes, you can purchase bus transfers for one-way passage. It's something like $24/pp.
