Can we use a baby swim ring in resort pools?

we brought our own floaties & had no problem using them. You should be fine! When DS was 8 months old, we brought one of those baby boats things & he loved it.

We have had to get rid of our "pool toys" at our resort last trip. I don't know if they make allowances for smaller children, but our teen DD and DS brought some floaties and diving discs and the life guards said "no go". It was ASmo.
There are those swimsuits with the built-in floatation vests that would work in your case also.

I guess we will take it and see. I don't think a floaty suit would be good for her age---she has no concept of which way is "up".

Thank you!

We had no probems using our ring for our 9 month old. It was one of those small boats with cut outs for her feet to fit into. She fell asleep in it and laid her head on the front of the boat. She looked really comfy, we put a wash cloth on her head and back to shield her from the sun. She had a great nap in it. Of course I was holding on to the float the entire time. We stayed at the polynesian at the time and we used one of the smaller pools. I say bring it. :umbrella:

We used one of those rings at the Poly pool. The lifeguard was watching us like a hawk to make sure that we stayed with our child. Which of course we did. I guess some people must use them as babysitters.

I think the ring will be fine...it's diving toys and stuff they dont want. My three kids all brought thier own floatation devices..the girls have life jackets that have mermaid tails on them...and DS wears a life jacket with the flap in the back to keep his head above water...we had nooo problems in two different resort pools.

On our last trip at the CBR we were allowed to take any sort of pool toys into the 'quiet' pools with no lifeguard on duty. In the main pool they only allowed life jackets and floaty suits. My nephew got chewed out by a lifeguard for taking a float ring in the main pool. I didn't notice anything posted at that time that said they weren't allowed. Throughout the week I did hear the lifeguards telling others they couldn't take pool noodles and rings and such in the main pool.
