Way to represent your Minnie, Hollie!

Love the Bad News Bears pictures.
All the teams at that age are the Bad News Bears. I have watched many of them, and it is pretty fun and funny!
It'll be a great experience for her.

Yup Heather that crap starts young. Just have a talk with her about the other girl's bad behavior.

LOL!! Oh yes, she had to wear her cute Minnie shirt with hearts on it!

I can't wait for them to start playing. The coach said he is gonna try and get them the same uniforms with the white and yellow. Her pink will just have to go with it! :rotfl:

I just couldn't believe it! I mean, I should know that it happens because of my job and dealing with stuff like that! But, its just so sad!

Love Hollie's baseball pictures , there all so cute :) Love all the pink gear , I so wish they had that back in the day when I played softball , I would have been all decked out in pink . lol

Cute Valentines Day party pictures , Hollies Minnie shirt was adorable . That's so sad to hear that little girls are acting like that at her age already :( Glad that she won Hot Potato and showed those mean girls who's boss !

Can't wait to see your Gatlinburg pictures :)

Hollie had a Valentine's Party at her school last Thursday before we left for Gatlinburg. Chad and I went up there to enjoy the festivities as well!
They sang songs before it started, but Hollie stood in the back. She is one of the taller kids in her class so they usually put her and a few others in the back, which means to me....Its hard to take pictures!!! lol!! But, when we got there, they had already started singing. She was the only one in the back this time. I guess she didnt' want anyone to scoot to make room. I did tell her afterwards, "Hollie stop standing in the back! I can't take pictures of you!" lol!! Hopefully at their graduation she WON'T be in the back!

They got in the floor after eating to play hot potato! Such a cute game!

Now...I only had one teeny tiny complaint at the party. While they were playing hot potato, it ended up being Hollie and 3 other girls and 1 boy. Now, Hollie knew 3 of the girls in her class before starting this school year. As they were going on with the game, the other girls were getting out. Well, I can honestly say that I see how girls get their "cliques" early on. Now Hollie, she would become friends with a tree if it let her! She loves everybody and plays with everyone. As the game was going, the little girls (who Hollie is friends with too) started cheering for 1 girl. Well, the next person to get out was that little girl. Then it was just Hollie, 1 other girl, and 1 boy. They girls start cheering for the other girl saying, I hope she wins and beats you Hollie and named the other boy. Now, if Hollie was doing that I would have immediately stopped her and said, UM no maam!!! We don't act like that. NOPE, not one parent of the said girls said anything. Now, one other parent did to one of the girls because we all go to church together. But still....so the game goes and its just Hollie and the 1 little girl. The 3 girls start chanting that girls name. Well, you could tell the boys weren't having that!! So, this one little boy was like, "Come on Hollie!!!! Beat her!!!!!" I still didn't like how competitive you could tell these kids were becoming. Well......Hollie won and the boys were screaming for her.
You can tell me if I am being dumb about it, but it was sad to see how that happens so early!!! I was telling one of my BFF's about it and she said she could see it at vacation bible school this year how there are those who just clique right together.

I did ask Hollie if those girls were mean to her (one of them she is really good friends with and has never acted that way! Another one she goes to church with, and another ones mom works for my mom) She said no the boys are the ones who pick on them. I was really glad she didn't know exactly what was going on!

Welcome home! Can't wait for your Gaitlinburg mini TR!

It gave me a familiar knot in my stomach reading about the Hot Potato incident! It is soooo sad that this has to start so young. My son went through that nonsense and it still goes on. He is 10 now and thankfully can sort it out on his own- for the most part. Kindergarten was frustrating though- he had no clue that they were even being mean to him. I think part of it was that he is an only child and doesn't have an older sibling teasing and taunting him.

I tell you raising children is the hardest job, especially well behaved and respectful children. You can try your hardest to instill good morals and values, but once they hit school, or the dreaded playground or the bus:scared1: then it's no holds barred!

She will do great though because you are teaching her how to be a well mannered little lady.

Kids can be so mean, sometimes without even knowing it.

I love her pink baseball helmet, glove and shoes! You go Hollie! :thumbsup2

The Minnie tee is very cute too!

love the t-ball pics! watching the kids play t-ball at that age is just SO cute! just wait until the games.....you guys are gonna crack up. they are hilarious!

and the v-day pics are cute, too. sorry to hear about the bad behavior. i can't believe none of their mom's said something to them about doing that. so wrong! another reason why i think people should have to take an intelligence test before they procreate!

Very cute pictures! Love the t-ball! It's so funny to watch kids at that age play sports!

So sorry about the "mean girls". My DD is in kindergarten this year and we are dealing with the same thing. She is just like you described Hollie. She will play with anyone and loves everybody. There is one little girl in her class who dresses like a 24 year old New York fashion model. It is so rediculous. But that child is so snobby and mean to my DD and her mother never says a word about it. I just will not tolerate it though. I wrote a long note to the teacher and told her what was going on. It's been much better since then, but I told the teacher that if it continues, I will take it straight to her mother. DD says she is picking on other girls in the class now. There is just no sense in it. But the reason the mothers don't say anything is because that is where the kids are getting it from. It really is so sad. I just keep thinking if it is like this in K, how will it be in high school!:sad2:

Hey! Heather,
Just dropping by to say HI! I've been MIA for a few months! I have to try to catch up which is nearly impossible with all these threads! :)

I am so glad to be home!! :)

That is just awful! I just can't stand to see kids being mean to other kids. I raise Hollie to share and love everyone. When I see her being even a tad mean to cousins, I immediately get on to her! It really is sad it starts so young. :sad2:

Raising a child really is a hard job. You want to protect them and teach them right from wrong and then when they are away from you....its like they are on their own!

You are so sweet, thank you! I try...thats just all I can do! :goodvibes

Kids can be so mean, sometimes without even knowing it.

I love her pink baseball helmet, glove and shoes! You go Hollie! :thumbsup2

The Minnie tee is very cute too!

They sure can :(

Aww, thanks girl!! lol! She picked them out all by herself!! lol!! She has practice this Saturday so I will take more pics!

Chad picked that tee out for her all by himself! lol! He went shopping with his mom and he got some great deals at the disney store! :goodvibes

I can't wait for them to start playing. If the practice is any intuition of how the games will be.... we will be laughing from start to finish! :lmao:

Thanks girl!! I really couldn't believe that none of the moms said anything either. I would have if Hollie said it so it just blew my mind. Actually one of the moms (who I have known and been friends with for 2 years) deleted me from her facebook yesterday! lol!! She got mad at my mom (who she WORKS for because she got in trouble for bringing her kids to work and has been told several times she couldn't do it). lol! The only thing I could do was laugh!!

Very cute pictures! Love the t-ball! It's so funny to watch kids at that age play sports!

Aww, taht is just awful! I have seen the little girls wearing the fashion model clothes too. There is actually a girl in the class who has a juicy couture purse she likes to bring. What in the world!! lol!!!
That is awful she is still picking on girls. Its just sad to me!

Hey! Heather,
Just dropping by to say HI! I've been MIA for a few months! I have to try to catch up which is nearly impossible with all these threads! :)

Colleen!!!!!!!!! I am so glad your back!! Its about time!! :lmao:

Girls can be SO mean! All over a game of Hot Potato! Who knew??

I know, right!!! Over a little game!!! lol!!! But...I was glad my baby won!! :rotfl2:

hmmmmm....sounds familiar. that's what jordan did to me when she got home from the hospital after she had margot because i was so "nasty" to her at the hospital and told her that "brett was gonna take the baby from her." what i really said was i wanted to let her know that brett was filing a petition for legitimation, which really is just saying he's legally her daddy, and that it was nothing against her but he felt he needed to do the right thing. and i was doing that out of RESPECT for her so that she wouldn't be shocked when a sheriff showed up on her doorstep with the papers. just shows you what kind of mentality someone who deletes someone on facebook has. what does that prove???? that you have the reasoning skills of a 12 year old? :confused3

Okay, so I figured I would post some pics from Gatlinburg! We left after Hollie's Valentines party at school. We actually went to see my mom at work then went home to pack everything up in the truck. Before we left, we had to take Rusty and Mrs. (MR) Fluffy to my parents house. They were gonna pet sit for us! :lmao:
We left the fur babies and then stopped by where my dad was working to say we were leaving. Then we were on the way!!!
Here is Miss Priss on the way down there.
100_2492.jpg

As we got closer we could see snow on the mountain tops! Yay!
100_2495.jpg

100_2496.jpg

I saw this new resort up in Sevierville that I have to visit one day! Its an inside water park (MeMom...this is the one I think you were talking about!)
It just looked really cool!
100_2498.jpg

Now, we finally made it to the hotel...but I didn't take any pictures of it! Oh the horror!!!

But, before we got there..here is my awesome attempt at taking a picture of the Gatlinburg sign..lol
100_2499.jpg

Awful isn't it!! lol!

100_2502.jpg

Now we got back to the room and got all checked in and unpacked. Then Chad started a fire in the fireplace (Hollie loves them!) and we watched a little tv and went to bed!

We got up the next morning and decided to go to one of our favorite pancake houses in Pigeon Forge, The Red Rooster! It is so yummy!!!
Here is Hollie all ready to go!
100_2504.jpg

100_2505.jpg

Now, before we left my mom called to tell me it was snowing in Dallas and that they were expecting 4 inches that day! WHAT!!!!!! You mean, I came all the way up here for snow and they are getting it back home! NO WAY!!
It put a little damper on my mood. Okay let me explain....I LOVE SNOW!!!!!!! I plead, beg, pray every year for snow and we never ever get any! I miss the snow days from when I was a little girl...sledding down the hill, building snowmen, throwing snowballs, etc.

Now, back to after we ate a good breakfast. We decided to drive up to this cabin we always go look at on the Historic Nature trail, which was cool because our hotel was on that road. Here are pictures of us driving back into Gatlinburg

100_2510.jpg

YES.....yes my dear dis-friends...that is a soon to be permanent Titanic exhibit in Pigeon Forge!!! AUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love, love, love anything to do with Titanic. I love the movie!! I love it so much in fact that I actually bought a pattern for Kate Winslet's dress in the movie for when she is going to jump off the ship and also her dress for when the Titanic sunk. Here is a picture in case you need to see it ;)

swimdress.jpg

I am soooo gonna get both of them made and Chad can go as Jack and I can go as Rose!

Can I just say how excited I am to see this!!! It was awesome looking! they had a big trailer set up where you could go in for free and get a preview of it, but I am pretty sure its like the one in Orlando so we didn't go in. I wanted too....but didn't! :)

Back to our riding pictures!
Here is the nice hotel across from the Christmas Place.

100_2512.jpg

It started to snow a little, bitty bit at this point.
Here are my sweet babies!!

I know!!! This girl is 28 years old and I laughed when I saw she deleted me! I mean, come on people! Act your age!!!

She actually emailed me today to ask a question about another party in Hollie's class and I totally busted her on it. I replied back to her, "I like how you deleted me on facebook....so cool!" She immediately came back saying she was over it and was gonna get her husband to delete her facebook because she didn't have time for it and that it was just old to her. REALLY!!! Is that why you were having conversations with a friend of mine from church all last night..but you only "deleted" me?? LOL!! So funny!!!

I am telling you, I think we all know some loons!! :lmao:

Loved seeing the TN pictures. My in-laws live in Seymour TN. I love that Christmas store. Gonna have to have mom-in-law check out the Titanic exhibit and see when it opens. We wanna check out the indoor water park when we go vist them in Aug.

Hey girl. How are ya?!

I loved the TN pics. Fiance and I went there in 2005 with his family. It's such a beautiful place!

I'm glad you got to see snow! (:goodvibes closest thing to a snowball)

Too funny that you could have just stayed home.... the weather has been so wacky! :rotfl:

I just love these little TR's you do! It's so fun to see all these different places.

Just put that "silly" girl out of your mind....she obviously can't apreciate how kind, sweet and funny you are! :)

It is so much fun to see all the photos from PF and Gatlinburg! I am very excited about the Titanic Museum as well. It is going to open in April and Regis Philbin is going to be here for the grand opening! We cannot wait to see it.

woooooohooooo! I am getting excited to see the rest of the pics.

I love the dresses from Titanic- i hope you get to make them as I think they would be fantastic for Halloween. Funny, we just watched that movie the other night and my DS caught some of it and said " I am never going on a cruise" :scared1: that's not good! I have hopes of Disney cruisin one day in the future!

I hope that Titanic museum thingy is open when we go- we are tentatively looking into the fall so it should be. If we do go and it is opened- i promise to take lots of pics and post them for ya ;).

I can't believe you didn't take pics of your hotel  silly girl, but the one that was across the street from the Christmas place looked gorgeous!

It looks like your little trip is off to a great start and yeah for seeing some snow covered mountains :woohoo:

I saw this new resort up in Sevierville that I have to visit one day! Its an inside water park (MeMom...this is the one I think you were talking about!)
It just looked really cool!

YES.....yes my dear dis-friends...that is a soon to be permanent Titanic exhibit in Pigeon Forge!!!

I didn't check in on your update until just now (at school), so I'll see pictures when I get home.

I do want to go to Dollywood and stay in that resort in the near future. ::yes:: I bet my group would enjoy the Titanic exhibit, as well. We'll have to make a weekend trip to check it out one of these days.
