Can we get a Grand Gatherings number if staying as a DVC member ?

Hi -

14 of us will be staying at the BCV in August. We are interested in participating in one of the Grand Gathering events. Are DVC members staying on points able to do this ? If so, how can I book the event ?

Yes you can. We've done it on two separate occasions. I can't remember entirely but I think we called the Grand Gatherings number to register. We had to have our confirmation number from DVC to do it. We booked things through them and not Member Services.

Tell MS that you have a grand gathering and give them the names and addresses of all in your party. MS will contact the GG people and get a MG (Magical Gathering) number back to you.

What's a Grand Gathering?

A grand gathering (GG) is a group of 8 or more people staying at a select(s) WDW resort. This group is eligible to go to special GG events such as the Magical Fireworks Voyage and the Safari Celebration Dinner, for example.

There use to be a clearly-defined link on the WDW webpage, but now, just type 'grand gatherings' into the WDW search engine to get to it.

DVC Members are allowed to form GG's. Just call MS with the names and addresses of those in the GG and they will contact the GG people and get you a magical gathering (MG) number. You than call the GG people directly to setup any GG 'products', events, that you wish to go to.
