I have a carry on bag only and would like to know if anyone had problems bringing pins
home on a plane from MCO. If so, where is nearest Post Office to WDW so I can mail
them home. Is it possible to get stuff mailed through guest services. Thanks, any info
would help.

Got back a couple of weeks ago and took my pins on both flights. Out of Dulles (Wash. DC). Allow extra time for the screeners to check your pins/bags carefully. Out of MCO, they know just what they are and will also screen them too.

I flew home with them 6 weeks ago. Never asked anything about them. I may take them off and check them in before I fly in 5 days. Dont want to loose them.

The pins are alot smaller than the knife/bottle opener I flew home with! Just found it in my carryon. I honestly didnt realize I had this with me. Im getting ready to fly again in 5 days and finally unpacked my carry on from 6 weeks ago!

I got busted for a nail clipper in carry-on earlier this month (not to/from MCO though).
Put any suspect items in your checked baggage if you want to avoid problems.

Just got back and I was able to carry my pin case on both times. In Chicago, it was searched thoroughly and checked for bomb residue, and a supervisor was called to make the final decision. In Orlando, they didn't bat an eye (although hubby was frisked--turns out he had a Zantac tablet in his pocket, and the metal blister pack was setting off the detector).

My daughter just had to throw out her infant daughter's Pooh Bear fork (the 3 prong kind with rubber handle). I can't remember if that was in Indianapolis or Detroit. They said she could go back & check it in her luggage, but of course didn't have the time. She didn't complain as everyone is thankful for the extra precautions, but we thought a ball point pen is more of a hazard. Who would have guessed they would pick that out of a carryon? Guess we will have to just replace it this trip and be careful what we take.
