We are going to be at WDW on April 26th. We arrive at 3:30p. I was wondering if it is possible to ge our bags, rental car, check in at WL and be ready to do the Illuminations cruise at 8p? This is how I see it, PLEASE tell me if I am wrong (I have never been to Florida).

Arrive 3:30p, get luggage and rental car - 1 hr. DH gets car, while I wait for luggage.

Drive to WDW get there by 5p. Check into hotel - 1/2 hr now it is 5:30p.

I now have from 5:30p to 8p to get to the cruise?

A few questions. Does the cruise start at 8p? I am assuming I have to be there a little early. How much earlier?

Can it be done? Thank you for any info!!

You should be able to do this without much problem.

I would try to contact the Captain to let him (her) know what is happening, after you check in and know where you stand on time.
It may be unnecessary but will make you feel better. Are you on the Breathless or a pontoon boat? I would assume it is the Breathless.

Where are you staying? That determines how much time you have to get to the cruise embarcation point.

I actually don't have ressies yet, the 90 day out is tomorrow morning. But it is for the day we fly in, so I wasn't sure if I should bother to get up at 5a to TRY and make the ressie if it couldn't be done. I am going to get a pontoon since there will be 8 of us. And we will be staying at the WL.

Did I have the times down? 1 hr to get bags and rental car? 1/2 hr drive to WDW? Thank you again.

I would go for it!! I think you have plenty of time although I think you are right - I think you would need to be at the cruise sight a little earlier than 8:00. Otherwise, your times look fine with a little bit to spare in case of emergency. :D

I would go for it. You could always try to get another day during your stay and then decide which to day to keep.

Last summer we arrived at MCO at 215pm
got a car
checked in to Holiday Inn Maingate
went to Ohanas for dinner
went to Cirque du Soliel - La Nouba (830 ish show)

We had to keep moving but we were not rushed. Had a nice dinner, and had time for the bookstore before La Nouba.

I'd go for it if I were you.

Thanks everyone! Looks like I will be getting up at 4:45a tomorrow. We have some friends that are already going to be there, so if anything we can have them waiting at the boats a little early. ::yes::
