We have a bounceback booked and needed to change the dates (still falls during the dates for our bounceback offer) because of airline problems and our TA has the booking and when she call to change the dates, she was told that they were charging us insurance again, and they had already added it to the bounceback when it was booked (we forgot to tell them we didn't want it) can they really do that?I have read where people have changed their dates several times without a problem, and our TA has changed our's only once before today and they didn't tell her that then.I don't think they can keep charging insurance over and over again.Has anyone else had this problem and what can we do about it?We wouldn't have changed the dates this time if we didn't have a problem with the airlines because we are using our miles for some of our plane tickets and they won't let you use them just anytime.Any help would be great.Melody

Yes, the insurance is for a specific set of dates. If you were changing by a day or two disney will usually not charge but if youre moving by like a month or two then yes, you have to purchase insurance again.

I got charged the insurance and I only dropped a day and shifted my room to a 40% code. So, yes they can. Of course, I probably should have fought the charge but it wasn't worth the hassle.

And it's not Disney. It is the insurance company. And I am guessing Travel Guard is not different on this compared to other insurance companies. :confused3 But those traveling would find it worth looking into.
When you buy travel insurance you are buying for specific dates.
When you change those dates, then that is correct Travel Guard does not change the dates to match the new ones. I have not read the fine print but I am guessing there is something about it being transferable.
Disney does not get refunded on it either.
Apparently a few days in travel date changes do not matter, from what mbanks has posted on various threads.

yes they can do it and they do do it.I have had them do it to me. The insurance as others pointed out is for specific dates only when you change the dates the insurance is no longer valid and they need to recharge you for the new dates.
